Always a great experience… I rent here a couple times a month. Always a great price and a great car. I have no problem showing I’m insured. All info IS provided in the terms online AND THEY REMIND YOU VIA TEXT THE DAY BEFORE. Nothing is hidden, the people complaining just don’t read or think they’re above the company’s policy. I’ll keep the great rates on new cars if all I have to do is show I’m insured… no reason to hide that. Next thing you know if they rent to people who aren’t insured and take losses their rates will go up. Why do you think the companies that don’t ask for coverage have almost double the daily rate?

My plane was diverted from Tampa to Orlando. By the time they flew us back to Tampa it was after Nextcar closed. My assistant spent an hour the night the plane was diverted to reach the foreign based representative (FBR). We told her we definitely wanted to pick up the car the next day AND DID NOT CANCEL OUR RENTAL. The next day my assistant spent thirty minutes talking to the Foreign Based Representative (FBR). The FBR SAID MY RESERVATION HAD BEEN CANCELED. She recommended we make a new reservation, but the car would not be available for two days. Then the FBR indicated we would be charged for the NON-Refundable five day contract. When my assistant called Nextcar the FBR finally transferred the call to Expedia and the FBR HUNG UP THE PHONE. Then Expedia had to call Nextcar again. We had booked the car with Expedia. It took the Expedia representative over one hour to negotiate the refund for the five day car rental. Finally Nextcar allowed us to get the money back. NextCar closes earlier than other car rental agencies. They have several contact numbers that don’t work. Their FBR are impossible to work with and have no authority. Nextcar has a 1 star rating, they deserve less.

I had the worst experience 4/30/2024 Tampa airport location I booked on line went to pick up the car and the man working had a horrible attitude right when I got there after he finally called me up to the counter gave him all my info insurance he said no your name should be on the insurance I said I am so he said call my insurance and he would confirm so I get them on the phone he started helping another person I said I have the on the phone he said you need to move and wait I was like I can’t keep travlers on the line he said I am not renting to you your rude I was like if I am being rude it’s because you don’t want to get me going with my rental he said I am not renting to you I said I need a refund he said I don’t do that call the number he the through a wireless pad at me and said call the # I was like your kidding me I paid already he said sorry call for your refund. 5/1 I called and was told no refund I was like he refused to rent me my car no refund I am now waiting for a manager to call me this is the worst rental company ever the refuse to rent me a car I paid for because he said I was rude omg he said his nam was AJ not sure if that’s really his name I need help

Very helpful straightforward staff members. Do not try to entice you in unwanted passes and insurances. They do not honor credit card rental insurance but would be ok with your insurance. They have an e-signature tab and it is very quick. Anyway make sure that you take a video of the outside of the car as you sign the forms mentioning there are no damages on it.

Ordered a Dodge Durango. They said that's the biggest they have. Switched to a mini van and got charged more. Not sure why. Everything else was fine. Van was nice and drove beautifully.
