Miserable experience. After losing most of my belongings in my home due to a flood, pods found a way to steal more from my family. I had a pod delivered, and found out that after just 3 hours of it being in my home I was told by the restoration company I didn’t need it. I called pods back and told them I would have no issue paying the drop off and pick up fee but wouldn’t need the monthly rental. They agreed to refund me that balance and failed to do so. I called back after over a week had gone by only to find out that the representative didn’t open a case for me and that I needed to open one now. Within a few hours I received a denial. After they already acknowledged that I was promised a refund by the previous representative. Thanks for stealing from my family pods. Real class act

While the pod delivery and pickup was great the overcharging is appalling. They charged me for a month usage on the 16th but picked up my pod on the 22nd. Look out for excessive charges with no advisement. Charged for the pod rental and insurance that I’m not even using.

Transparent process. Great value for the money. Very professional and top notch company. Have used my last two moves and would recommend highly.

Overall good experience. Timely deliveries and pick ups. I moved several states away and wasn't worried about my personal items.

Highly recommend PODS. I've used their services twice and am extremely satisfied. The first was a cross country move with recommended car shipping company. The second was a local move. Once furniture is cleared you can focus on other things.

Pads is the way to go if you have an apartment or a smaller home that you want to move your items into at your convenience and the staff is very very good. My only critique if you will, is watch your billing once you've been completely done using pods because I did get build extra for something I did but request, and they will great about removing it and crediting me. Overall I would give this 5 sours if it wasn't for the billing issue I had but the service was top-notch.

Horrible experience. I will never recommend this company. Way over charged me. When I finally got my POD delivered everything was damaged. All they have is a 1-800 number which gets you no where. $6,000 down the drain.

Please do not use this company for your moving or storage needs. They have in place policies and scam style requirements that will charge you an incredible amount of money without reason. Such as increasing the amount of storage cost regardless if it ever moved an inch. Kathryn Marinello is the CEO and I wonder how she feels about her company taking advantage of people in their most vulnerable times. I challenge her to reach out to me so I can explain how horrible this company is and how she is responsible for the unfair and almost criminal policies in place. We are now being charged an extra $1500 to get our household goods because our address changed. PODS is not a worthy company. Stay away. We are beyond angry with this company. I can honestly say, I HATE this company. I feel the only way to hold this company accountable is for the media to get involved and openly display the back handed practices that PODS uses against customers. Perhaps there is a legitimate reporter or news agency who is interested in investigating this company and it’s leadership.

This was an overall really poor experience from start to finish. This is the first 1 star review I have ever given but it’s warranted. The lack of communication and customer service is appalling. I would not recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I just had an inconsiderate new neighbor move into our apartment complex. They had their pod dropped right in front of our garage. You would think that PODs would be more than willing to rectify the illegal placement of their container. Instead, we have been blocked in for 4 days and can't leave. PODs only consistency is their outsourced customer service people all lie and know how to use the hold button almost as much as hanging up on you. I will NEVER use this company!!! If they lie about this I'm sure they are scamming renter out if money too! Choose any other company! Poor customer service, poor problem resolution and rude!

As a Multiple-times past PODS customer this was the absolute Worst experience I've ever had. I was prepared to spend over 13K with PODS (only in 1 month with deliver across country). The web app totally sucked (15 minute - plus - response times) and the customer service totally sucked (took too long and no ability to resolve my problems), and the delivery service dropped the ball over and over again (no phone calls and they delivered the wrong pods). I couldn't image a better opportunity to drop the ball and lose money for the company they are supposedly working for. In addition to all of this abuse, PODS still believed they should charge me 600.00+ dollars to provide this level of dis-service and waste of my time. Is this an executive issue, middle managment issue or a rank-and-file issue? I think all of this starts at the top and works it's way down to the middle management layers and into the front-lines. This company seems to have gone toxic. Buyer beware. If you aren't abused and burnt - you're lucky!

STAY AWAY!!!I had a terrible experience with PODS throughout my move from NJ to Florida. Looking from the outside, this company is trying to do well, but they have SERIOUS COORDINATION PROBLEMS.The initial scheduling and setup was easy enough. The customer representatives seem pretty available to answer you questions and are generally very kind. But the real service I got is the opposite. DO NOT TRUST THE CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVES!!!Our initial delivery was scheduled to be fulfilled by the city service department (We lived in Hoboken, this was the only option). This means the container will be delivered at an exact time, and a 4 hour window will be given for you to load it up. DO NOT TRUST THIS because the delivery will never be on time. You really need to know how to manage your risks here. For us, the 4-hour window was scheduled to be 1pm - 5pm. I even tried to call on the same day to confirm about the time, and the answer I got is "it will be delivered exactly at 1pm". OK, so I had my movers come over and start to dissemble my furnitures and wrap them up in pads starting at noon. However, no one is showed up for the delivery. I kept calling the customer representative for 1.5 hours, and all I got was "I don't know what's happening with your local PODS facility, I can't get in touch with them". It was until 2:30pm that I got notified the container would not be delivered on that day, but the next morning instead. As a result, we had to pay our movers for the day, and pay them again for the next day to come back and load the container, which cost us ~$300 more. What's worse is, because all of our beds are taken apart, the entire family had no place to sleep for that extra night!! We ended up staying in a local hotel for ~$500 (two rooms). The rescheduled delivery was 8am the next morning. However, the driver arrived at around 9:00am. Same deal, there is no way to directly contact the driver and know where they are, you can only wait for their call, which might or might not come.OK after around a week, the container arrived at the facility in Tampa, FL. I made a call to change my destination delivery to a self pickup at the facility. Mainly for two reasons: 1. It turned out that the apartment I'm moving into doesn't allow long-term container parking. 2. I don't trust the delivery service anymore because what if it's delayed again? However, the customer representative LIED to me and didn't set up change at all. It was only discovered when I called in the day before the pickup to confirm about the time. So close! It almost ruined my plan to unload the container again! In summary, some advices if you still want to use PODS service (maybe because of the lower cost compared to out-of-state movers):1. Do not trust the delivery and pickup to be on-time. Always plan for the worst, do not let movers start before the container arrival. If you live in the city and had to use city service, just DO NOT choose PODS.2. Always confirm twice about the scheduling, because some customer representatives won't actually execute for you even they told you everything is all set.
