I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share an experience I had at the seafood department at Publix. I walked in simply to purchase a few items, and instead of being treated like any other paying customer, I was immediately met with an assumption that I’d be using food stamps. The employee didn’t ask politely or neutrally—there was a tone and body language that felt judgmental, like they had already decided something about me based on how I looked.
I was shocked, embarrassed, and honestly, hurt. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with using EBT or food assistance—many people rely on it. But making assumptions about someone’s financial situation without cause is not only unprofessional, it’s disrespectful. I expected better from a store that prides itself on customer service.
I hope Publix will address this issue seriously and make sure their staff are trained to treat all customers with dignity—regardless of appearance or perceived background.

oh my gosh impeccable service let me just tell you this wonderful woman named tori (one of the deli workers) provided the fastest and best service anyone could ask for she wasn't impatient she wasn't being rude and best of all she mad my sub so delectable I didn't want to eat anything else that day cause I knew no food would come close to being as good as that sub it was so good it made me cry a little to this day I haven't had a better sub. so in conclusion,
