I have a love/hate relationship with this store. Poorly organized, it's a challenge to sort the racks searching for bargains in your size. You have to be committed! I've found a few, decor items which were inexpensive. Otherwise, not much luck.

Was one of my favorite thrift stores but the prices are starting to get a little too high and recently learned that the employees are pulling all the good stuff for themselves before it even hits the floor. May have to find another place to shop.

Stopped in while I was on vacation and found a couple of really cute pieces! Shop was clean and organized. Lots of name brand products for great prices.

I has been to the Sunshine Thrift in St. Pete and it's AWESOME! This one in South Tampa is a lil smaller, bustling, and stocked full with clothes, books, toys, games, housewares, and more. Both locations do 25 cents popcorn which is fun. As another reviewer noted there's not much furniture. Lots of hardworking employees. Friendly characters. I see some of my fav Yelpers beat me here and I don't blame them for keeping it a secret from me. Shout out Rachel M., Gigi S. Mike S. RIP, Jude and Amara. Keep your treasures close and your pirate maps hidden. Lots of bounty awaits on the high seas. Avast ye Yelpers!!!

To be honest, I don’t want to give them an amazing review because I want to keep this gem to myself! But I can’t help it- this place has an amazing selection! Depending on the day there are discounts in different colors tags. I spent 1 hour in just the kids clothing section, and got so many barely used name brand clothes. I even found some soccer cleats for my son for 3$!!!

TERRIBLE PRICES. i found a blanket for 7.99 and the lady decided to last minute change the price to 12.99 and ask if i still wanted it. get a grip. you’re profiting off of things that were donated to you FOR FREE. no help to the community.

FIX THE TOY SECTION! You complain about people making a mess in the toy section but you have to pull everything out to look at it. Stuffed animals should honestly have their own section. Also the prices have gone up. I’m not paying 2.99 for Walmart clothes that are worn out when I can just go to Walmart and buy it new for 2 dollars more. Target has sales that compete with these used clothes prices. It’s like they don’t remember they get everything free and it’s used. They don’t need to mark it up so much. Also if they know a brand they mark it up ridiculously. I saw a “my generation doll for 14.99 without clothes. I can get a my generation doll without matted hair and with clothes at target for 20 dollars. What is going on?Also there is one staff member that makes my child cry every time we go.The majority of the staff is nice which is why it got 3 stars.

Honestly disappointed in the staff experience here. I interacted with staff twice and both times I was let down.1. While shopping in women’s jackets a short dark haired women approached me and started berating me about putting the clothes back on hangers. I did notice things laid over the racks but this was the way it was before I entered the area. She left and came back multiple times to continue letting out her frustration on me as she cleaned up the area. I’ve worked retail before and I understand that its annoying but I also understand that it’s part of the job. (I see someone else mentioned her being rude 2 weeks prior as well)2. At checkout the cashier accidentally removed the tag from a jacket and after they accidentally removed it they refused to sell me the item. Afterward they continuously pointed to an over head sign directing my eyes to rule number 2. I understand that the rule states no sales on items without tags to prevent tag swapping but common, when you accidentally remove it and you can read on the tag that the description matches the item it gets a little redundant. Also I spent 70$ in the store why would I tag swap a 5$ jacket?Stores like this are great especially when you try to be mindful of waste but for a couple extra dollars you can go and be treated like a valued customer not a nuisance.Only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is I did find 70$ worth of stuff. But even with that I won’t be back.
