If I could leave no stars I would. After one month of business and personal banking they froze and locked me out of my accounts for too many transactions. Isn’t that what banking is for? Then I had to wait 1.5 months to get my money. They sent me a letter stating they were mailing me a check but never got it. I physically had to walk into one of the branch’s and demand my money which they finally released to me. The worst bank ever.

Unfortunately I wasted a lot of time coming to this bank to cash a check for $5,300. They literally told me they would have to order money because they did not have enough, meaning this bank probably carries less than $5,000 a day cash on hand which is crazy If you put it into perspective. I had to have the teller who was very nice and extremely helpful call around to different branches to find out which had enough cash on hand after three calls the branch in downtown St Petersburg had enough money to cash a $5,000 check.. If banks are having a hard time cashing $5,000 checks read between the lines there must be some more hard times coming ahead.

I can't comment on other Synovus branches but this one on Henderson is by far the friendliest bank I've ever used. I know all the tellers, the manager, and the other specialty account representatives. The teller, Evelyn is a complete sweetheart It's the kind of place you trust because you know everyone who works there. They always ask how I'm doing (specifically by mentioning something they knew from the last time I visited), how the kids are doing, and they know me by name. They genuinely want to make my life more convenient. I'm the customer who never has my account number on hand so they have to always go into the system look at the account number and write it in for me but they never make me feel like I'm a pain. I ran into an issue with their website and went into the branch to discuss it but I was on my lunch break so they took down all the information, told me they'd fix the issue and then call me when was completed and sure enough later that day they called to confirm everything was completed. I recently had a major issue with my other bank, (Bank of America) and got so upset that I pulled everything from them and opened a new Synovus account. I recommend everyone do the same. BOA is a nightmare.
