Rick was absolutely awesome with our Cane Corso. She was 7 months when we dropped her off we decided to go wit the 3 week boarded program because we felt this would give her the full attention needed to learn to be obedient. Before taking her she was full on puppy mode, pulling on walks, sniffing EVERYTHING, not responding to recalls or even staying put for more than 2 seconds. It was difficult to go out in public with her just due to the constant pulling and not listening. When I tell you it's been night and day the difference is staggering. She ignores other most other dogs now, she doesn't jump up on people anymore. Her response to heel and sit is staggering makes me smile every time she does it. She's able to be placed and she'll stay placed until you tell her she's free to roamAll in all we couldn't be happier with the change in our girl, taking her out has been enjoyable now where before there was a fear of man what is she gonna break in this store.Rick was exceptional in keeping us informed as she progressed in her training. taping and posting videos for us to see and letting us know where she was at and if any problems for the future. When it came to picking her up we were given a class on her commands and the proper way of heeling and expected response from her. Needless to say it's been a life changing experience having her behave and be seeing us as alphas instead of littermates.I would recommend Rick all day it was a great experience for us.

At first, I tried to justify to myself that this dog training was a good experience due to how much money I sunk into it, because I didn’t want to admit that I wasted $2500. However, looking back a few months later, I can safely say that I would never do this again. For starters, I paid $2500 for 5 classes. Each class was supposed to be 1 hour long, but the trainer would always stop about 15 minutes before the hour. Even worse is that on the 4th session, he completely cancelled the class due to excessive wind outside (we were going to do some heeling outside). This counted for an entire class. $500 just to drive an hour in traffic, only to be turned down once I got there.Additionally, I went in to work on my dog’s reactivity around other dogs. She gets in fights and I wanted to build positive experiences with dogs to maybe fix this issue. We did nothing like that, all we did was learn “place”, “come”, and “heel”. That is it. She never met a single dog in this class, aside from putting another dog in the room far away so that my dog can work on listening to me when a dog is 30 feet away. Not helpful.Lastly, the trainer told me that I can keep in touch with him in case I have any questions. My dog got into a bad fight a few weeks ago so I figured I’d reach out to see if they can help. So I texted the number he gave me. No response. Then I emailed them about the situation at hand. Absolute radio silence. I have on multiple occasions tried to reach out after the training a few months ago only to receive exactly 0 responses. This is easily the biggest waste of money I have ever invested in. My dog NEEDS training but I have already invested $2500 on training for her from just here alone. I am most likely never seeing another trainer, I cannot justify burning another gigantic hole in my pocket just to be met with a similar experience. I am ashamed of myself for ever enrolling in this training, and whenever anyone asks how much I paid for the training, I lie. I am embarrassed to admit how much I paid for this training course. Would not recommend.

I had the absolute pleasure dealing with Taylor. I had very limited time due to my work. I put this person through a rapid grilling scenario in the 10 minutes I was able to get away from work. Taylor was cordial, transparent and patient with my urgency. I am in the process of moving and did not sign up for their services. But I felt that I should make a response on this company’s post out of respect, because the. customer service I received today, without paying a dime….I was taken aback.

We did the 5-class private lesson program ($1,800) with my 3 year old golden retriever who needed some higher level obedience and excitement training. Overall, I think this place is just okay. We really liked the trainer and saw progress with her during the program. Of course, the expectation with these lessons is you have the 1 hour class and follow up at home with 1 hour of training every day until the next class. We did this religiously and, now that we are a month out of the class, we are still nowhere near where we want our dog to be. Concerns we expressed during intake about her selective attention were just never addressed. I think the board and train would probably be the only environment that I recommend this level of investment in dog training here. The classes ran around 50 minutes, and less than half of the class involved the trainer working with her as opposed to us practicing what he demonstrated. So, you’re paying $360 for about 25 minutes where the trainer’s skill and expertise is actually applied. Honestly, I feel like my dog is at the same skill and obedience level now as she was when she finished her $150 puppy course at petco. If you have the resources, this is a nice place. But there’s definitely no magic to it and you can find the materials to train your dog yourself for free online.

Took my Mal pup down for us to be evaluated. It was a very pleasant and informative experience. It was nice to talk to people who really care and are knowledgeable about the dogs they work with.

My 4 year old Labradoodle spent 3 weeks here to refresh his puppy training. He came home better than ever. Staff are wonderful. I would highly recommend to anyone in need of changing doggy’s unacceptable behavior

I would absolutely recommend Tampa Bay K-9 Solutions services. We have been working with Rick for 5 weeks now and he has been the most impressive trainer that we know. We love our dog Guinness, but his energy level and strong-willed disposition posed many challenges for us. We brought him over to Rick & it was quickly realized that the problem was not Guinness, but us. Rick is truly someone respectable that you can trust with the care of your dog. He has been vocal threw every step of the way & was always more than happy to answer any questions we have. My family and I are very grateful for the work and effort he’s put into training Guinness.

Love these guys! Ricardo and his group just trained my third puppy. I was uncertain how the training would go as the newest member of our family is a husky, and well, he is a little wild and crazy. After just a short week, Z was walking on a leash and obeying commands better than I ever could imagine. It has been a few weeks since his training ended and he is still doing great. The trainers truly love what they do and it shows in how the dogs respond. When I picked Z up from training, I think he would have rather stayed! I recommend them 100%

I worked for several years as a police K9 handler and trainer. I had the opportunity to work with Rick from Tampa Bay K9 for a week awhile ago and wanted to recommend his services. Rick knows how to diagnose a dog and accurately develop a training plan. He is not set to one action plan but reads and works with the dogs to bring out the best.

My dogs and close friends are the most important things in my life. I'm writing this review on behalf of 2 people I know that took advantage of this amazing facility not just for their own dogs benefit but for the education they gained from the trainers as well, allowing them to be better dog owners! An aggressive dog with an aggressive history was brought here and completely transformed for the better and to be honest I was not surprised! These trainers are extremely knowledgeable and absolutely LOVE their dogs!! It doesn't matter what dog it is they always seem to put their best foot forward and give that dog the best care and attention they possibly can! I'm a HUGE animal lover so this definitely meant a lot to me! If you want to help your dog change its behavior and have it done by true dog lovers this is definitely the place I recommend hands down!!!

Our 18-month Bouvier (Kingston) died in the care of this company. The trainer overseeing him was Jarvis Scott. The company couldn't explain his death, but once we received the notes from the vet, he died of heat stroke. He had a temperature of 107 when it was all said and done. To make matters worse, the day we were going on vacation, we got the news. They were supposed to be training and boarding him while we were gone. Some interesting facts:1. Kingston died in Orlando when the training facility (actual building) is in Tampa. Since the company does not have a facility in Orlando, we assume he was being trained at the residence of a trainer. The night before his death, he was at the trainer’s home. This was confirmed by the investigation done by the county.2. Kingston's temperature reached 107 twice, and he visited the vet twice (dying the second time). The first time, he was released by the vet after his temperature decreased. The second time, the vet attempted to do the same thing, but it did not work. We weren't notified either time about the vet visits, we were simply told about his death.3. More facts to be released, if needed. We encourage everyone looking for training for your dog, to think twice before using this company. If not, if could be your puppy suffering the same fate.#RIPKINGSTON

Our family dog died here. We found out the morning of our vacation, and once we returned and ready to mourn the death of our puppy we learned he wasn’t even in the city of Tampa. We had to wait until someone could bring him from Orlando. They didn’t even have the decency to call us and tell us he went to the vet or he had to go back to the vet after that, where he then died!Be careful with this place. You have no idea what they are actually doing with your dog.

The trainer of our dog, Rebecca, was abusive and neglectful. Our dog came back severely dehydrated, and had open wounds. The owner Rick was horribly unprofessional about the whole situation, including disregarding efforts to amend the situation. Please, do not send your dogs here. (edit) I included the pictures due to the response from the owner, just as more evidence. Rick has also been e-mailed multiple times and has yet to respond. Edit to reply on 9/6/21: Can you please explain how something is "non factual information" if I have 1) multiple records of the abuse that occurred, and 2) timestamps and screenshots of emails, I am confused as how you thing this is "slanderous" as it is all true. Thank you.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Rick and the team worked with our 6mo old Italian greyhound through their 3 week board and train program. She is now the most relaxed, manageable pup. She can follow all commands and is so much more enjoyable to play with, love on and take around town. And the instructions for us as her owners were so clear and easy to follow. Their training methods are sustainable for a busy family and really do work for small dogs!
