I saw something on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 3:28 pm at the Church street Post Office. I drove up to the mail chute and my mail would not go in then all this mail came out of the box. I took my mail and the mail that was discharged from the shut inside, I told the clerk and she said we know. She said just leave the mail. Well, I wanted to say “we’ll go out there and fix it or shut down the box. I was unhappy with not instantly taking care of it. I want to complain to higher up. Why?

Was here around lunch time today and there was a long line but it moved fairly quickly. Jessica very kindly assisted us with shipping a package and helped us choose the appropriate delivery option. Thank you Jessica!

Don't expect them to return mail back to senders. Went in there and explicitly stated that my package needed to be returned to sender. Well a month later here it arrives back at my house... From USPS. I can't return the item now that it's passed the 30 day mark. ?

The postmaster needs to seriously evaluate the competency, unprofessional attitude, and ability to manage of the woman who runs this office. This is the second time she had ignored a line out the door and left her staff to fend on their own. A few weeks ago, I watched as she clocked out and abandoned one poor girl who was brand new (didn’t even have the proper uniform yet) all by herself at the end of the day, when the new girl didn’t know how to close (or have a key!). Today, she abandoned another poor girl who worked as fast as she could as a line formed out the door. Instead, the manager was rebuilding empty metal carts - not helping customers - under the guise that she was “getting out the priority mail” but I could see everything she touched was empty. Then, after that she just left the girl alone so she could go on her lunch, rather than pushing her lunch a few minutes to clear the line. Unacceptable. She clearly doesn’t know how to manage her staff schedule so this busy Dale Mabry / South Tampa office has appropriate coverage. She moves at an embarrassingly slow “government worker” pace. And, even worse, her attitude not just to customers but to her own staff is appallingly rude. I feel terrible for the girls who work here under her. I speak up for them that they deserve better. And, the USPS brand deserves better than this woman clearly unfit or disenfranchised with the role to which she is assigned. She is a disgrace to other hardworking public servants. Postmaster, take notice and observe undercover to see this for yourself.—UPDATE—My package that I overnighted on THURSDAY from Tampa to arrive on FRIDAY in New York is now on SATURDAY in **PUERTO RICO**Add complete incompetence and failure to perform to the review above.

There was no one there at opening through 9:30 when I left. The self service also was not working so I had to find another branch to mail a package.

Bad customer service. I send around 50 packages per year. Only once I didn't take a pic of the tracking number with my cellphone and my package was lost. They aren't trained to look for the tracking number on a computer and they have no interest in assisting a client. I have the date, time and more information of this transaction.I have gone to this office three times to look for help and they always find a different excuse. If you loose your tracking number you can't get help over the phone.

A lady here (will update the review when I get her name) was so helpful and friendly to me yesterday! She helped me to get exactly what I wanted and for a great price too. She was very nice and I'm going to go out of my way to come to THIS USPS location because of her. We all need more friendly people like her. Thank you!!

I went back a few days later and was taken care of by Jessica Santiago. She was fast, friendly, and professional. (Not to mention she had hairstyle -- coloring and length -- of a woman I had been engaged to about 35 years ago in Argentina. Unfortunately, she was practically a communist so she decided the USA was not the place for her and flew back to Argentina. We were both quite bummed about that, but oooh, the memories!) I mentioned the YELP reviews to Jessica, and how apparently an employee named Fred was not a very popular person there. She informed me that Fred was no longer there, but also pointed out that his sign still was. Believe it or not Jessica Santiago was now using Fred's station. I was so surprised I took a photo. Anyway, apparently the sullen personality-less employee I got the first time I visited this post office rarely works there. The staff on this day were all very funny and friendly. Basically writing a YELP review of a post office is pointless because the staff changes all the time, but so far, out of the 6 people I've seen working there, 4 have been great, 1 was a j**** and the other was not overly friendly but seemed nice enough. And he had the cool name of Whispy Brown. I wasn't wearing my glasses when I read his name tag so I thought his name was Whisky Brown at first -- which would have been cooler -- but still, Whispy is a cool enough name.Long story short, go there and get your mailing done! If you're lucky, you'll get the lovely Jessica Santiago!

In a hurried scramble to run errands on Saturday mornings; and the post office is first on my list.I usually get Fred as my customer service representative at this post office. I appreciate him because he is efficient and he takes time to help me mail my items the best way. Keep up the good work, Fred. Thanks to all of the staff at this post office because we do still need good old fashioned "snail mail" and they are here to help us.
