I throughly enjoyed my day at Fred Howard Park. The beach and restrooms were nice and clean. The water was beautiful and clear. It was not crowded but enough people that one did not feel alone.

Favorite local sunrise and sunset spot. Aquatic sports rentals, well maintained facilities. $5 all-day parking.
Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed in the park and on the causeway. They are NOT allowed on the beach. (The closest dog beach is Honeymoon Island State Park.)
Best for Beaches Because: Fred Howard Beach is both a gorgeous expanse of white sand and a protected nature preserve, perfect for beach and nature lovers.
