The World Famous Spongeorama Sponge Factory is located in the heart of the Historic Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks. It offers the world's largest selection of natural sponges from the Gulf of Mexico. The store is a gift shop with sponges, soaps like goat milk soap, and various other gifts and knick knacks. It has decent prices and is a typical spot for souvenirs. The place also offers informative sightseeing cruises and boat tours. These tours are well worth the money, with great captains. Guests can view dolphins and manatees, stop at a beach to find shells and sponge, and see beautiful sunsets. There is an old but informative video on the sponge trade and history. Outside, there is a sponge diver photo opportunity, though it may sometimes be in storage. Parking is spacious. It is a decent, must-see spot while visiting the sponge docks.
My 2 sisters and I took this trip today. It was fantastic. The captain and crew were great. We saw dolphins manatees and got lots of shells. We definitely will be taking this trip again. I have told other family members about it and they are going to be going on the cruise as well. Thank you for a great time🏖

Cute store! Bought a bunch of sponges and soaps. We didn’t have time to catch the movie, but I recommend to stop by before leaving Tarpon Springs!

We had a wonderful cruise today! Saw so many dolphins and a manatee. The brief stop at Anclote Island was perfection. We will be back!
