I thought this was the best shop in the area. We bought sponges for our face and body. Cute wooden racks to hold them. A large sponge for decoration and air plants.

This is a classic, Florida tourist shop. Filled to the brim with kitschy items and tchotchkes. Paid parking is available on site.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! There is a stand with a sink and many open scrubs for customers to test out. There are only 2 signs posted up. One saying that the scrubs were exfoliating and moisturizing and the other saying “No Children” My teenager being 15 was testing out the scrubs because she wanted to purchase one, she was testing them with adult supervision. She was washing the second scrub off as an older, short, caucasian man behind the register approached my daughter yelling at her and questioning why she was washing her hands again and why she was letting the water run. I had been watching my daughter the whole time and she was clearly struggling to remove the excessive scrub off her hands. And when she tried explaining that to him he became angry and started saying she couldn’t use the scrub more than once, when there were no signs stating that. My family and I visit this shop every time we visit Tarpon Springs and we have never had a bad experience until this rude employee decided to yell at my daughter and I. Unprofessional and extremely rude. There are better ways to kindly express. His way was not the way!!!

enter the store and go to the back. Watch the movie they have playing that will teach you about the types of sponges. Then, you can go buy sponges and know what one is best for what you want to use it for.

Tarpon Springs is a great place to stroll through on any day. The sponge docks are not always active but the restaurants and gift shops are very enjoyable. We go often and always have a wonderful day.

Theater where you watch a video on the sponge harvesting and types of sponges. Then look around the shop and pick out some nice gifts. (bathroom is also available)

Paying $5-$10 to park will get you the privilege of being allowed to spend your own money to buy sponges and trinkets then walk down a road. Parking should be free.
