We took our service truck for an oil leak. $5,000 later, it was leaking in the same location within a couple days. Had to take it out of service again to try and get it fixed right. Charged us around $2-3,000 more… a week later still leaking in same spot. Had an employee take it back to discuss, and we’re told it’s just one of those trucks…We had initially taken to a Ford dealership and they had quoted a little higher initially than Tim’s, and after looking at it after Tim’s worked on it, it now cost $11,000 to fix what Tim’s damaged. Got it fixed properly, and discussed with Tim. He takes no responsibility because we had the audacity to take it somewhere else… he says they now have no responsibility for it. Incredibly bad ethics and work. Beware.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Be careful with this place. They will keep you car for 4 months for nothing. You will waste your time and money because they will not do anything to fix your car. And even though they don’t charge money while they keep the car, you will definitely loose business and money because they will keep it for a while. Try to find another place for your car. Watch out ?️

Took truck in for a major oil leak. Paid over $5k, leaking in the same location a week later. Took in again and paid $2-3k more.... A week later he says it's just one of those trucks.... Took to a Ford dealership and $11,000 later it got fixed right.. they said this shop did more damage than when it was initially a problem.Tim won't refund any money and says they did a good job. Wow.

This is the best shop to take your car to in Tarpon. Tim takes great care of his customers. Recently took my truck in and he assured me I was in good hands. I highly recommend Tims Performance!

I had misgivings about leaving my truck at a business so clearly disorganized, but this place had good reviews so I dropped it off with the owner's assurance that there would be no charge for an estimate. I figured it wouldn't be a problem since I told him exactly what it needed having already gotten an estimate elsewhere. Almost two weeks later I called for an update. No news as they hadn't even looked at it! After several more days, frustrated, I went to just pick it up. Coincidentally, they had an estimate for me then. Unfortunately they wanted more than twice what the other shop quoted for the same repair and also identified several other "problems" they thought I should pay them to fix.Since I declined their overpriced service, the owner then decided to charge me a "diagnosis" fee of $164. Not feeling like arguing, I paid the fee and left.I understand a shop needs to charge a "diagnostic" fee when warranted, but this was clearly not the case here and counter to what the owner stated initially. Besides, at their prices and markups, this "diagnosis" time is already well compensated for.I paid a high price to learn that I should have gone elsewhere. If you have deep pockets and don't care about being charged substantially more than other places, Tim's may be a good fit for you.

Tim did a complete engine swap in my son’s 2004 Jeep Wrangler LJ. After spending thousands at Jeep chasing gremlins I decided to swap in a 4.6 stroker. Had the motor delivered to Tim and told him everything else we wanted done… he did not disappoint! Timely install, great communication and was a pleasure just talking with him. One of the last remaining, small shop, honest mechanics around!

Air conditioning problem. Tim' technician diagnosed a leak in the condenser. Diagnostic fee $140. Told repair was $1600+. This included $500 for expensive refrigerant like freon. Next day took car to Ferman. They spent hours going over AC. No leak found. $100 charge for refrigerant to top off. All told $280 including refrigerant labor and parts. I waited almost 2 months and AC is fine no signs of a leak. Unclear why the refrigerant was low without a leak. but Ferman commented that the caps on the fill ports were missing. It's possible this refrigerant was misappropriated at a RI shop prior to traveling to Florida. I decided not to persue a refund of the diagnostic fee $140 but want to point out the dealer charged $100 and Tims said it would be $500 for refrigerant. When it is diagnosed the quantity of freon is measured so the amount to top off is known

They do top quality work and have a quick turn around time. Plus, when the repairs cost less than the original quote they passed the savings on to us. It's hard to find a good mechanic, so I highly recommend you give this shop a try.
