Pleasant staff. The office needs new furniture in the waiting room. Very worn and almost torn couches but the space was clean. The walls in the exam room were dirty and dented. We saw Dr. Jackson. He was late because he was in a procedure. We waited an hour in the exam room. He was pleasant. He put on gloves when he came in and then touched the computer mouse to look at x-rays, touched his clothes and didn't change his gloves to do the dental exam. At the end he apologized for our wait. I would go back if I had to but will go to a different practise for now.

They always want money indicating Medicare plan does not cover all expenses. Sad like the rich, just want more money from You.

Worst dental company ever! They steal your money and refuse to give it back. They say you need work done that you don't actually need done. The customer service is horrible. They can't keep a staff.

First up, I thought this was going to be the office for me. I was told they accepted Aetna insurance and also I saw it on the Aetna website.Second, I was given an appointment by this office. I arrived on time and was greeted. My insurance card and Driver’s license were copied. Thirdly I was called to have the X-ray done. Fourth, I was examined by the dentist. Fifth, I was told by the office personnel and office manager that the doctor was not in my network. They told me to go find another dentist who would accept my insurance plan. Sixth, they also told me they would fax my X-rays to whoever I found. Seventh, I found a dentist that does accept my insurance just a few blocks away. Eight, I went back to the Aspen office I had just left to get my X-rays and they told me that I had to sign a release form for my X-rays to be faxed from the corporate office! As I had them done there I would have to wait 7-10 business days before they were faxed to the dentist office I will be using. How embarrassing for me to have to have a runaround from that office.Ninth, I received a call from the dentist office that sense I had gotten my X-rays done at Aspen I will have to pay for them having to be done again. My appointment with the next dentist was to be this morning. The facility I will be using is: Lake Miona Dental Care. I received a call from them yesterday saying they would have to cancel my appointment waiting for the X-rays and paperwork from Aspen Dental. Why couldn’t I just pick up the X-rays and paperwork right then? So today I will call my insurance company and explain to them what has happened with this information.

The dentist was awesome. We got scheduled in on a Saturday. We did have to wait about an hour to be seen. Once the appointment was over, we had to wait another hour to come up with a plan and schedule future appointments.

The hygienist was very good but the office manager was terrible. She wouldn’t come and get us. Left us for an hour waiting and then wanted to charge my husband a deep cleaning for $945. Called our dentist back home in Michigan and it would be free. She wasn’t pleasant!

When I spoke to the office to make my appointment for a check up and cleaning she was very helpful. On the day of my appointment I arrived at 8 AM as scheduled, the first thing I noticed as I walked in was the waiting area carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a day or so as it had a lot of debris on it. I got checked in and was called to go back with one of the technicians. The very first thing they wanted to do was to take X-rays. I explained that my records were being sent down from my previous dentist and I wanted to ensure my Medicare plan was paying for additional X-rays. The technician said they would find out. After almost an hour sitting in the dental chair looking at the dirty floor and stained walls the Dentist came in and explained that they received my records but they were images of X-rays not actual X-rays and before he could do anything he needed X-rays, I relented just so that we could get things moving. They took X-rays and once again I sat in the chair for about 30 minutes when the dr came in and reviewed the X-rays with me. He seemed more concerned with talking me into all kinds of bridges and crowns than anything else. I told them I would have to see the cost and what my plan would cover before any decision could be made. He said the hygienist would be in shortly to check my gums. After about a 15 minute wait she came in by herself and checked my gums. She said everything looked great and then proceeded to input all my gum measurements into the computer. I had a screen directly in front of me and began seeing the measurements filling the spots, there are 3 numbers per tooth and this person must have the best memory possible because no one was there to write the numbers down as she checked my gums so she supposedly remembered almost 90 measurements! I don’t think so! Then in a spot for my overall gum health she put stage 1 Periodontal disease. I asked if I was getting my cleaning done today she she said oh no we’re to busy so you’ll have to schedule another appointment. Then the dr came back in and said I need a deep cleaning to stop the periodontal disease. I told him I got my regular check up in PA and I was never told I had any symptoms of periodontal disease and was not interested. He told me the office manager would come and review a treatment plan with me but at this point I was there over 2 hours and I left. I explained everything to wife who had an appointment the same day and she immediately canceled.I will never recommend this Aspen to anyone I know. If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.
