I have used Quest Diagnostics in the past so when I went in to get my lab drawn I was told that they no longer perform courtesy blood draws and it's not like do not have insurance. After leaving very disappointed I went on line and found Lab Corp at the Brownwood location in my

What kind of medical office has no soap in their bathroom every time you go in?

Had a 10:30 appointment. Taking people who came in after me. Short staff. Left after 45 minutes. The staffer who took over my signing in ( without my asking for help) had to write my name down because I wasn't on the list. Even though it has been on the screen. Told me it would be another 30 minutes. Had another appointment to get to. If I'm supposed to be there on time I should be taken on time.

Went there for blood work and suddenly it is appointment only. No advance notice that this started last week. No exceptions. Disappointed with the lack of customer service . A text or email notice would have been a nice thing to do.

First time at this location and had a GREAT experience! I had an appointment and I was was taken care of a few minutes ahead of my scheduled time. Teryl was the technician, and she was a true professional in every aspect. Thank you.

Great first time experience. I didn't have to wait at all. My phlebotomist was patient, informative and took blood painlessly. Thanks Kyla.

They did not run the tests I requested. I even listed them out when I was there. I had to get an additional blood draw the next day ata different location because of their mess up.

Got there for routine bloodwork.7:15am, Several people also waiting outside. Doors locked, lights off well after operating hours...nobody showed up to work. No note. Nothing but a dark office. Guy in front of me had an appointment but again no show in the building. We (7-10) of us finally left at 7:30 (an hour passed the 6:30am operating time) and went to Lab Corp.we later discovered that Quest was being investigated for 70,000 improper Covid numbers being reported to the state incorrectly. Never again will I give Quest my money. I'm self pay. No more $600 checks to you.

I would be remiss if I did not provide kudos to an exemplary employee, Sandra. My last two visits she has done my blood work, always with a positive attitude and smile. Sandra is both professional and cordial…….a definite asset to Quest.

This place is a hassle for many reasons.Go to LABCORP instead. It’s just thru the Publix parking lot, past Wolfgang Pucks, in an office inside of the very nice Brownwood Villages Health building. There is a very unique lady who takes blood at this Quest location. She was so incredibly particular and picky that I could not accomplish getting my bloodwork done. I think it took five trips? Maybe six in total? She had endless, and I mean endless, issues with the requisitions I brought in. (From two separate doctor’s offices, mind.)On multiple occasions, I would sit in the chair waiting while she called my drs office for codes. One time I just LITERALLY went back to my Dr—driving 2.25 hrs each way, and paid the extra office visit fee to them—to get the blood work req written properly. She still had issues with it. Kept saying the codes were wrong, etc etc. It didn’t make sense. On my last visit, she finally just said “I’m not comfortable doing this bloodwork.” What? So I quietly left. And will never come back.So I was pricked nearly every two days for a week or two to compete only half the requested bloodwork in a piecemeal fashion.I had actually gotten a little upset with two of my doctors’ offices because of all this trouble and confusion. I kept telling my doctors offices there were “issues” (which I couldn’t quite explain, with the bloodwork.) I kept thinking my doctors and their staff were being lazy, writing reqs wrong or incorrectly. It was causing stress all around. Then when I was trying to get two old labs done with the same lady (which had presumably had had wrong diagnosis codes; now fixed) with my latest bloodwork, I said, “Can we add them in now?” But either she didn’t hear me in time the first time I mentioned it, I said it too late (I don’t think so), or she simply didn’t care, because she said “Oh, I already printed these. I can’t add them.” Really? You couldn’t take the time do redo it because the system wouldn’t let you?? Or you didn’t feel like it and just wanted me to have to make ANOTHER appt get poked AGAIN?FINALLY I realized there is a Labcorp lab across the parking lot in the Brownwood Villages Health building. (Anyone can come in get there bloodwork there I believe, even if not a patient of Brownwood Health.)So I nervously took my bloodwork scripts to Labcorp. (The EXACT same scripts that she refused.) The Labcorp office was sleek, clean, large, professional. Results were lighting fast; you can actually watch them process many of the tests on-site thru a window. The automated check in was easy; BUT I also got to talk to a human, who was competent and friendly, during check in! No “closed windows” here.I hovered around at Labcorp, asking multiple times if everything was ok with my lab reqs, and she said everything was fine. I double checked with the phlebotomist, and she said everything was fine. They were busy but it didn’t take long. I received all my results without issue.Perhaps the bloodwork reqs were not written correctly, but somehow Labcorp had ZERO issues and I received my results just fine. Now I suppose I need to apologize to my doctors offices for getting stressed with them, and nearly accusing them of not writing scripts properly!I will never go back to this Quest location.Don’t get your arm pricked four extra times! Don’t deal with people who precociously tell you to “pull your mask up” after half the world has dropped mask mandates. Don’t deal with people who refuse to draw your blood. Go to Labcorp. You just drive thru the Publix Parking lot, past Wolfgang Puck to 2955 Brownwood Blvd, and into the lovely, nicely designed building, across the main hallway to the well-marked Labcorp office on the main floor.

The staff at this location are very rude and unprofessional. They were genuinely aggravated that I was there and refused service due to my arriving 10 minutes before closing.

I had a great experience at this lab today, the ladies were very sweet and took care of me even though I had my two year old there. My paperwork was missing and the tech patiently waited for it and was really nice to my daughter, thanks ladies! Wish I could remember her name.
