If you have an older Mercedes (mine is a 1985 300D with 200,000 miles) that is in need of work or restoration, you gotta be nuts if you don’t take or send it to this shop. Pierre has written several technical articles for Mercedes Star Magazine and posted many UTube videos. They had several old Benzes from different parts of the country: Calif, Texas, NY, MD, Louisiana + others. My prior Mercedes mechanic could not fix an AC evacuator drain because the part was no longer made and he had problems accessing the drain. The water went all over the cabin. Pierre had it fixed in 20 minutes. Works perfectly. My AC didn’t maintain temp selection properly and the EC button didn’t work. I thought I needed a new control unit ($500). Pierre took the old unit out, soldered 2 areas and now the AC works perfectly. The repair that really blew me away was my AC compressor was making a squealing noise. I had the belt tightened several times and was told I probably needed a new compressor ($750). He looked at the belt and said it was too narrow even though it was a MB part and proper part number. Belt was replaced and the squeal is gone. A technician must have had a lot of experience to recognize the problem. There were other repairs that were done, all to my satisfaction. I thought his charges were quite cheap. Having owned 15 MBs I am used to $$$$$$ bills from the dealers.I expected to pay well over $2000 but went out the door for $588. This is the best Mercedes shop that I have ever been to in over 40 years! I only wish that he would work on my other newer Mercedes.
