I had bought some lunch meet from up here and it had slime on it when I got home. So the next day I called the dollar general and the lady had told me to bring it up and that she has had quite a bit of people saying the lunch meet had slime on it… Later on the same day I went up they said they couldn’t do anything for me

Stopped in when passing through to get a few items and I must say this is quite possibly the worst Dollar General I’ve ever been to.
Very dirty and extremely disorganized product merchandising, can barely walk through the isles. Staff acts as though you are an inconvenience for trying to shop there while they are stocking the shelves.
Sorry to inform you but selling merchandise to the customer is what pays your salary, no need to be rude. If you are unhappy with your employment there, perhaps you should find another job, or maybe your work ethic prevents you from being able to do so.
People shop at these stores for convenience only. The brands competitive prices no longer exist for most items as they have become more mainstream. I would rather drive a few extra miles to a big box store and experience a clean, well organized environment to shop in with a far better selection and respect for the customer base than to stumble through a disorganized filthy mess and deal with rude employees.
I am generally a patient, kind, respectful human being, especially when interacting with others who are trying hard to earn a living, but I also believe in mutual respect.

The manager "PEGGY" was extremely rude. Yelling & screaming belittling us because of the coupons that we were using didn't take off the right amount and she had to fix it. The cashier "Felicity " was very professional and had a positive attitude. Peggy you need a refresher course in customer service.

All of the employees are so rude. They don’t say hi when you walk in the door, they look at you but don’t acknowledge you. When you bring your items to the register, they don’t even say hi or anything. I say hi first (all the time). I’ll continue shopping in Newberry. The employees walk by you while you’re shopping and never speak. I’m done with Trenton Dollar General

I'd give them less than a 1 if possible. The store is always a disaster. Have attempted to do online pick up, but apparently they can't fulfill that. The orders are always canceled. Save the time\\u0026 Shop elsewhere, this store sucks!
