In April, my family and I had to make the arrangements for the funeral of my father, James William Mash III — a proud retired U.S. Marine and longtime Gilchrist County Veterans Service Officer. It was a deeply emotional and difficult time for all of us. We needed both a local viewing for family and friends as well as a full military honors service at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
From the very beginning, the team at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, especially Jess, the funeral director, treated us with exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism. Jess guided us every step of the way — from coordinating the local service and celebration of life, to handling the logistics of the military honors burial. She also went above and beyond to help with life insurance paperwork and other important filings that made the process less overwhelming during a time of grief.
Jess was more than a funeral director — she was a source of strength, kindness, and support. Her dedication ensured that every detail was handled with care and respect, exactly as my father would have wanted. The celebration of life slideshow was beautifully done, and the arrangements at the Florida National Cemetery were carried out flawlessly.
Watson-Milton is more than just a funeral home — it is a place where families are treated with dignity, compassion, and sincere understanding. They made a heartbreaking time a little easier to bear, and for that, we will always be grateful.

Jess was amazing. The passing of my father was devastating for our family. The Watson-Milton Funeral Home gave us a beautiful celebration of life to appreciate my father with a picture. Montage, I got to pick out music he enjoyed, and a personalized guest book. We also had multiple options for urns and jewelry for the cremation process. Our feelings were validated and normalized. I highly recommend this Funeral Home as this stage of life can be very hard. The sensitivity of the staff put me at ease. Thank you for all you do.

Working with Jessica @ Watson-Milton Funeral Home made it so easy to plan our father’s “celebration of life” specific to our needs. Jess! Mr Milton! Belinda! The team that is able to take the horrible and make it manageable. For a full service, professional attitude, and respect for your loved ones, call someone who understands. Can't praise them enough for being there when all hope seemed lost. Jess took charge and handled everything. Mr Milton made sure we understood. Watson-Milton Funeral Home went above and beyond for us during our time of loss. They made the process as smooth as possible. Garrett, Jess, and Belinda were always quick to offer their kindness, managed everything thoughtfully, and were very generous. The venue was very beautiful. Jess and Belinda were compassionate, caring, and friendly as they walked me through the process of making arrangements for my wife’s funeral services. So good to have pleasant people to help during a difficult time. The new look of the funeral home was an awesome surprise. My mother-in-law was the principal at Trenton Elementary School for 15 years. She passed recently and we couldn't think of a better place to hold a visitation for her. We had a tour of Watson-Milton Funeral Home and before we arrived we just expected it to be the traditional facility with dark rooms red carpet and organ music. Were we ever wrong! It was bright and beautifully decorated with a modern farmhouse twist. Jess and Belinda were such a joy to work with. They were very professional, helpful and so kind. (We definitely had a few laughs though). Mom was always happy and she wanted her service or visitation to be happy. We just can't say enough about Watson-Milton Funeral Home. Beautiful facility and wonderful people.

Caleb and his team at Watson -Milton have been absolutely amazing to work with.. They have walked us through every step of the way, made sure that we understood everything, helped make some very hard decisions but what stands out the most for me and whats important is they treated us just like family. Thank you isn't enough for what they have done for us. Still a mo th later they are checking in an willing to help. Caleb thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
