I don't know why there are so many negative comments. Today I was assisted by Mr Jim and his service was extremely friendly, and excellent. Jim took the time to explain to me how to change my address and took the time to explain the entire process of renting the new PO Box.Also, I want to mention who assisted him at that time, the lady was excellent and looked for all possible options so that I could have the PO Box. She made sure I didn't walk out the door without assisting me. I don't remember her name but she did an amazing job too.

I went in on 10/19 to pay for my mailbox key, $35, and was told that it would take a few days and they would call me when it was available for pickup. On 10/25 I went again to the post office to check on the status, and the girl working there found my card requesting the key was still in a box, she also mentioned that the guy who had me fill out the card never gives them to the person in charge of getting the keys. She said it would only be a few days before my key was in. I went to the post office today, 10/30 and now my card isn't there anymore, and thankfully I still had the receipt to prove I'd paid. I told the guy that I'm expecting my new debit card and needed my key seeing as it has now been 11 DAYS since I paid for it. The post master now made her appearance saying that it depends on whether she's there and whether she's in pain. So basically the person who runs the post office is never there and if she can't perform her job due to pain she should retire and get disability. This is not my problem, I clean two houses a day in pain, most people have aches and pains and go to work every day. Umatilla is a really small community, you would think it would have great service like most small towns. Apparently it's just a government business that typically promotes people one level higher than their capabilities.

Jim needs to be fired, I've been there 4-5 times in 3 months because they refuse to deliver packages/daily mail correctly. Every time you go in there he makes people feel stupid and that its your fault your mail didn't get to you. I haven't received mail in 3 weeks but girlfriend gets her mail regularly. Someone tried sending me a gift for my birthday, about two weeks later, it was back in the senders mailbox as NMR (No Mail Receptacle) The best he could do was take my name and number after I left work to go deal with them because Jim hears the phone ringing and takes it off the hook.

Jim is by far the best. So helpful and attentive. Always takes the time to say hello. Perks of a small town.

I moved on 7/29 and put in a change of address then why in God’s name is my mail still sitting at the post office saying “No forwarded address “? I don’t think they even bother to look in the system to see if I had put in one! This is why the USPS is going bankrupt!! Lousy customer service!

Zero stars should be an option! This is the worst USPS office I have ever had to deal with. Here's my grievances:1. The office never picks up the phone.2. Incorrect mail delivery is very common. Be prepared to deliver your neighbor's mail to them, and hopefully your neighbor would kindly do the same to yours.3. Constantly lying about non-delivery reason like no access to driveway, delivery attempted, delivery on hold due to customer's request, Blah! Blah! Blah!4. Inconsistent modes of delivery. You'll have one street with mailboxes in front of their residence and the next street with cluster single mailboxes. It's unfair that some people seemed to have convenient service and others don't.5. When you show up at the office for lost mail or package , the staff seems clueless of where it's at.I could list more but what's the point? It's never going to change. The only solution to this is to just live with it I guess! JUST HOPELESS!

I can see why this Post Office is rated bad they have incompetent people running it. And then they want to blame the customer. They don't answer the phone at ALL! A perfect example of hiring people who can't do the job.

USPS Umatilla keeps saying that they don't have access to my driveway and/or porch. This is completely false. I have access and my gate is open all day. USPS is refusing to deliver packages because it involves stepping out of their vehicle.

I ordered from Amazon. My items were to be delivered by Umatilla Post Office. Tracking confirmed items were out for delivery 7/13/22. No package. Amazon states package delivered. Again NO PACKAGE.

Carrier broke a one of a kind piece of art by shoving it into a mailbox when it was clearly to big to fit. Everyone complains about how terrible they are but I didn’t judge until it happened to me. I will have things delivered to the next city over so Umatilla post office does not handle anything important to me again. Clearly mailbox’s are not round and this package should have been brought to the door. Even a toddler can use a shape sorter and realize that it wouldn’t have fit!

What’s the point in me being able to report “missing mail” if nothing is done about it. I’ve had so much missing mail from this post office it’s not even funny. And it’s ALWAYS important mail that I’m missing. And it’s not just 1 piece of mail from the day, it’s days worth of mail that goes missing that never ends up in our mailbox.

I'd give it no stars if I could. This is the worst post office I've ever had to deal with.1. They don't answer the phone ever. So if you need their help forget the call. I can't get down there without a ride I'm disabled.2. Incoming mail that is supposed to have been delivered ate marked delivered especially when it's a package and if they have to drive to house package marked delivered yet nowhere to be found.3. The delivery drivers are a waste.....rude....obnoxious.....4. The post Master General will get a letter of complaint. Maybe they are marking packages delivered and delivered to the bin that holds personal items and they end up gone and lost forever.

This post office is terrible. This is what i received instead of my time sensitive package:We attempted to deliver your package at 5:54 pm on October 4, 2021 in UMATILLA, FL 32784 but could not access the delivery location. We will redeliver on the next business day. What a lie! I was in my yard at that time and no one ever showed up, and there is easy access! They can lie and have no consequences!

I'm constantly receiving mail for people that lived here more than a year ago, packages go missing and letters that show I should receive that day end up disappearing. Umatilla USPS has been a constant pain since I've lived here. Can definitely see why they have a 1.7 star review. Ridiculous.
