DO NOT USE BEST HOME SERVICES!! Wanted an anode rod replacement for my water heater was quoted $370!!! Insane! Also was given extremely high quotes for replacing a well pump and installing a osmosis system, I didn’t want either!!! A new anode rod is less than $60. If you want to be overcharged for simple fixes this company will give you very expensive quotes to try to steal your money. The absolute worst. They just want to rip you off. SCAMMERS!!! Just got watch a YouTube video on repairs and fix the problem yourself. Stop giving these scammers your hard earned money. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

I would give zero stars and rename it Worst home services. My cousin waits home all morning for an 8-1 window, confirmed appointment, only to be called at 12:30 to reschedule. Our time is valuable whether you can believe that or not. Lately, customer service is non- existent in Southwest Florida

There's the appointment no part told they'd be here Friday morning early I called at 11:30 and they didn't have me on the schedule yet. They put me on the schedule until 6p was told at 5:30 p.m. that they couldn't get the part earlier this morning but they didn't bother to tell me that no one would show up and they didn't have a part and I would have to wait till Monday.Monday I waited for someone to call and tell me what time they were coming and they didn't so I called at 11:30 to have them put me on the schedule. from 2:00 to 4:00 then someone else said 4:00 to 6:00 and someone else said four to eight another no-show. Today, the day before the hurricane, another tech came out fix the system in 30 minutes and it didn't need a part. Super over them. My electric bill went from 3:50 to $1,000 because of the AC running wrong.In the meantime during all of this I got at least seven calls regarding their membership savings.

Called for a service quote or good faith estimate to replace an existing garbage disposal. Discovered Best charges for estimates? Charge can be $39.00 to $129.00 just to get a cost estimate. No thank you

Called these guys because my A/C was out. The tech told me I needed a completely new system that would cost anywhere from $8000-$12000. I of course wanted a second opinion. I had Bowersox come out and the guy had it up and running for only 100 dollars. So save yourselves $7900 and call Bowersox.Service: A/C system repair

On 6/11/21 We had this company come to my home to get a quote for installing 2 Ring flood light cams. Technician quoted the job out at $1000. When we stated that the price seemed to be a little steep, the technician responded by telling us about how the price of wire was very high? He also left with the parting words "you'll have a hard time finding someone to do it for less", almost as a deterrent to not shop around. Also charged for the quote. Needless to say, we DID find someone to do it for less. We used another licensed company that finished the job for $310.00 total. Don't be intimidated or fooled by this company.

Best Home Services installed a 4 ton HVAC system in my 2670 sq foot home just days before the seller listed the home for sale in November of 2019. The system failed 18 months later. The system was knowingly installed undersized and that was confirmed by their own technician when he came to diagnose why the system failed for the second time. Wondering how this happened, I contacted Sarasota County and Best Home Services for all of the records pertaining to the install. Best Home Services applied for a permit for the 4 ton unit claiming my home had the same specs as a retro-fitted home, meaning I had new energy efficient windows, doors, insulation, etc... my home has the original windows and doors from 1999, it is NOT retro-fitted. Using those specifications, they were able to claim that my house did not need the 5 ton unit required for a home this size. Fast forward 18 months, the system was running too often and it failed. I had electrical problems with the unit due to excessive moisture in November of 2020, and the air handler motor failed in May 2021. Two HVAC pro's confirmed that the system was running too frequently and could not meet the cooling demands of the home, even though I set my t-stat to 78 degrees during the day to try and prevent the system from running continuously. Best Home Services offered no solutions, so I had to resort to filing complaints with Sarasota County and the state.CoolToday came to my home to evaluate the system and confirmed Best Home Service's technician's diagnosis that the system was vastly undersized for a 2670 sq ft home. He performed a proper energy audit and his AHRI report showed that Best Home missed the mark by over 13000 BTU's for the system, and Best Home had also set my air handler motor to HIGH. Which is not best practices and a clear indicator in his opinion that Best Home knowingly installed an undersized system. In order to get the system properly sized I had to swap out a 1:1 system for $8700. Best Home Services still refuses to remedy the situation.I personally will never work with Best Home again. I am pursuing all of my options with the County and State to recoup the costs of having to replace an 18 month old system The Best Home Services receipt from the previous owner shows a dubious $3800 discount for the 4 ton system, and the paperwork filed with the county shows a clearly faulty energy audit/AHRI report.I highly recommend CoolToday. They were professional, fast, and reasonable. They understood the situation I was in and even tried reaching out to Best Home on my behalf to work on a solution. Best Home refused to work with them. I am now out $8700 to replace an 18 month old system.I will update this review with any new information.Services: HVAC system maintenance

I paid for a year service plan and have scheduled many different services and inspections through them. Only once out of many times did the technician show up within the 4 hour window. Usually they would keep extending the window until they would reschedule for another day. When they would finally show up they were no help whatsoever. But that didn't stop them from changing an outrageous amount of money for "diagnostics" and then guess at how to fix it and give me an even more outrageous price quote!Update: Since my earlier review Best Home Services has sent out a different technician who was very professional and found the true problem with my air handler and got it fixed. A manager named George has contacted me about the previous faults of the company and is trying to rectify the situation. I will see where this goes and update my review accordingly.

Called them and set up a time to install a new faucet in my bathroom. The man showed up on time showed him the vanity and the new faucet. He started walking all around my house then said I'll be back when I work out a price. Came back a short time later and handed me a quote for over 3500 dollars I said 3500 dollars to install a faucet. He said no that's for the new toilets and the faucet. I said I dont need toilets all I want is the faucet installed. Came back with a price of 1500 dollars just to install a faucet. I told him to leave. Then called a plumber out of the phone book. He was there in about 2 hours and charged me 180 dollars to install it. Best home services is a total RIP off. Dont ever use them

Chad is not a good technician I've dealt with him twice and had to have technicians come back to redo his work Dave was excellent still not very happy with the company itself Especially since one year and one month out of the manufacturer warranty carrier has a defect on their coil don't think it's fair I would have to pay for a whole new system but I guess that's just the way they do business

My elderly father had a plumber from this company and was quoted 957$ for an hour's worth of work to change a faucet. When questioned he was told how much would you pay a handyman ? My Father responded " I don't know ... probably 2 hundred dollars" which the plumber said 250$ and I'll do it . WHAT KIND OF PERSON DOES THIS TO THE ELDERLY ??? Absolutely criminal !!!!

Austin was great. He came out to look at my AC that kept shutting off. He was very dedicated and stayed until he figured out why it was doing that. He fixed the problem so we could have cold air, and assured me the technicians would come out to replace the piece that was malfunctioning. He was very nice and excellent at his job.
