Lately I've had great interactions and help at Home Depot ,yesterday in fact. There was a helpful cashier named Lily who helped me look for a purple Bougainvilla at another store because the only ones they had were much smaller. There also was a gentleman who helped me look for growth hormone and he didn't work in that area. A mere month ago I wasn't as lucky, so things are looking up!

It is frustrating and heartbreaking to witness the dead and dying plants, especially orchids, at Home Depot stores. The Venice store is the worst. I asked the assistant manager to address the issue and she argued with me as I tried to walk away and avoid a combative argument. Management is ignorant and rude, too many employees walking around having personal conversations while plants are wilting from the heat and lack of water. No employee cares. I'm done shopping here. I might be done shopping at Home Depot.

Right into the store a staff member asked me what I needed, he directed me to the plant center for softener salt and the plants I needed! Staff is great!!!

I bought a dishwasher and after waiting a week they delivered the wrong one. Now it's been 3 weeks and they just came with the right paper and the dishwasher wasn't on the truck. Don't ever buy an appliance for Home Depot unless it is in stock at the store.

I am disappointed and upset at the disconnection between the store and delivery vendors. The system does not work. The store shows inventory yet it doesn’t really exist in the store. I made a purchase of a tool bench showing it was an inventory at the vendor store and the shipping date was rescheduled because the item actually was not in the store. I made a special trip to Florida to receive this item and they failed to deliver as promised. I cannot even cancel the order because they claim it is in transit. Home Depot needs to gain control of delivery services.

So, I was hesitant to shop here, because the last time I was here a lady chased me down in the parking lot and accused me of stealing a lawn mower. I had actually used the email receipt program and apparently the cashier did not code it so the door alarm went off when I exited the building. It was rather embarrassing and the person that chased me down and brought me back into the store never said she was sorry. So, I was not going to go back. Plus I don't like this company's political stance. However, my favorite Walmart was out of the supplies I needed, so, I visited this location. I was pleasantly assisted and asked several times times if I had found everything. The team here was smiling and helpful.

Nice Home Depot and very welcoming because I was greeted by an employee. I was pointed to the right direction for the duck tape but when I found it I talked to another employee and explained my bumper problem on my car it became loose and so I had to tape it up until I got home. I like that the sales staff took me to the area of the gorilla tape which was best to fix my problem. I was in and out in no time. Parking is ample.

Not a safe place to shop. The employees are not wearing mask correctly. Many costumers are not wearing mask.

Buyer Beware! I've been very disappointed with Home Depot regarding two sizable renovation projects we contracted with them. By the time the product is installed, you've been in contact with salesperson, measurer, product rep and installer. All of these steps are necessary, but since all are subcontractors, no one wants to take responsibility when there's an issue. Mohawk wants me to spend $400 to have someone come out to evaluate if my carpet has a flaw even though the installer said it did. The measurer on this job cut it so tight that we ended up with some very noticeable seams and not a remnant big enough for the installer to leave behind. On the granite we had installed in 3 bathrooms, DSI was the subcontractor. They incorrectly cut one of the pieces, installed a broken backsplash and charged me to buffed a piece they had installed with a glue residue line. Home Depot, Mohawk or Distinctive Surfaces of Sarasota never once asked what they could do to satisfy me as a customer. If you want to be another contract number and be s.o.l if you have an issue, be my guest and try them out. Good luck.

Installation services at Home Depot SUCK! I purchased Laminated Vinyl Plank flooring and carpeting for my entire house. They shorted me on material that their associate calculated in a part of my project, then was shorted that material during installation. The tile demo team did nothing to reduce or eliminate the dust from going throughout the house. In fact, the tarps I put up to protect items such as electronic, cloths, and furniture, they removed during the tile demo. Contractors were calling me asking when toilets could be removed, carpet installaed, reinstallation of toilets, when this should be handled my the project coordinator at the Home Depot. A 3 day job has turned into 5 day project and we ARE STILL NOT DONE! Stay away from Home Depot Home Services. They are well below the "they suck" stage, trust me. Never again!

I was just in the HD and 80% of customers were wearing masks as recommended by the CDC. Not one employee was wearing a mask.

I purchased laminate flooring from the local The Home Depot in Venice, FL. The sales associate, Joe F., was very helpful and professional. My experience with him was very positive; however, when it came to getting the flooring installed everything went down hill. The project was contracted out to the local US Installations Group office in Venice. Sadly, I was not able to get a simple document (required by our condo association) completed and signed for more than 3 months. My efforts on the paperwork included many emails and calls to the contractor's general manager, as well as the store (installation coordinator and store manager). With no resolution in sight, I ended up finding an independent contractor, Venice Flooring Services, on HomeAdvisor.com. The entire process, from contacting the contractor, having the documents signed and approved, and completing the job, only took three weeks. And, we saved $80! I will never, I repeat never, use a outsourced contractor from this store again!
