Most holiday inns are clean , upkept and maintained . We booked this hotel because we have had pleasant experiences staying at them before. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The room was dirty , the entire 4th floor smelled like mold, the floor in the room had missing flooring, the bathroom was not cleaned at all, and the pool was drained when we called the day before and was told it was ready for guests. If we would have known this is how our stay was going to be we would have stayed somewhere else. My child’s stylus fell off the bed and when my husband went to get it there was rat poop and cat poop under the chair and around the base of the headboards.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.Rooms: Gross, smells and small

Our new hotel when we are in town and my sister has a house full. Enjoyed our stay here as it was clean and I always felt safe. We stayed with 2 small dogs and they had their own little area outside and were made to feel welcome.

The room was clean. The shower is stopped up, which is going to happen eventually. Other than that, it was a good stay and especially for the price in this area! It's just a hop skip and a jump to Venice Beach! Save your money on a room that you're not really in anyway and spend it out there at the beach or wherever you decide to go.

The room (114) had mold in the shower and the bathroom was filthy. There was urine on the base of the toilet as well as hair. The carpet was in need of replacing and cleaning. We were charged appx $300 for one night. Holiday Inn… your standards are poor.Noteworthy details: The room (114) had mold in the shower and the bathroom was filthy. It took us five hours to get in a room after check in time than the room we got was the wrong one the next day. They said they were going to fix it and give us the correct room. We left the hotel for nine hours came back still got the wrong room, and it's dirty as heck. They are blaming it on not having staff to clean rooms yet. They lied to us every chance that I get to say they're gonna make things right and they never do.

Giving it 5 stars because it's a clean hotel at 2.5 stars with friendly staff and tasty hot breakfast. And it allows dogs. It's not the Ritz, but a safe bet for a budget traveler

Staff is wonderful. Place smells like mold however. Carpet tiles peeling off floor. De humidifiers running all over. The owners need to sink some money into the rooms and grounds. Can't say enough about how wonderful staff is !

This hotel has a great location, right off of I-75. There isn't much food around, but the burger place next door is just footsteps away for some good food. The staff was friendly, the lobby was clean, and there are signs and markings everywhere for wearing your masks and social distancing. Only 1 person/family is recommended in the elevator at a time. The free breakfast is adjusted right now. You have a choice between a bagged lunch, cereal, cinnamon roll, or a breakfast sandwich. The sandwiches are frozen, so you do need to use the microwave to heat them up. Overall, we were surprised by the number of different options. Finally, the rooms. The rooms are small, but cozy. I was surprised that the rooms didn't have drawers in them. Instead we had a bench, and a closet. This isn't a big deal when you only plan to stay 1 or 2 nights, but we would definitely reconsider staying there longer. My biggest critique would be that the bathtub is very slippery when wet. Some adhesive ducks would go a long way to keep people from slipping down getting hurt in the bathtub!

I have always I mean always had a nice stay at a Holiday Inn Express until today. I arrived and checked in. The employee at the front desk was sitting behind a wall on his phone. He was very nice. We could not enter through the back door because the card reader is broke. Went to tell the front desk person. He was back behind the half wall on his phone again. He informed me that both side doors do not work. He said you could go out the doors but you couldn't get back in. You have to go around to the front. If they are both broke it doesn't seem real safe considering they always put a rock in the door to keep it open so they can get back in. We entered our room. They remodeled our room. The furniture was nice. Very comfortable beds. But they forgot new carpet. Very dirty. I went to take a shower and it was so gross. Pictures tell it all. I am very disappointed that this hotel carries the Holiday Inn Express name and looks like this.
