I am standing outside the store because my daughter really wanted a ring. The woman closed a minute early and refused to open the doors. She was so rude even with my 14 year old begging her to let her buy the ring.

Great little place to shop. The only thing is that they close at 5:30pm. I saw a sign I wanted, took me 3 days trying to get there by closing. When I'm on vacation it's nice to spend all day at beach, then dinner, and a little shopping. Well not happening in this area. ?

I love this store! Mark & staff take the time to get to know their customers and always make the best recommendations - a few months back when I was hosting a football party Mark had suggested some Bourbon Balls as a light snack which were delicious. Not to mention having some decor that matched my favorite College & NFL teams! If you are on Venice island and looking for a more unique shop than your typical Florida-style knick-knacks look no further than The Island Gift Nook.

While probably not the place to go for your typical "Florida-style" magnets/knick-knacks with flamingos/alligators, it's a nice shop with cool products that I hadn't heard of until I walked in. Some of the ones that caught my attention were swimming suits (for men) and microfiber towels made out of recycled plastic bottles. Neat stuff.
