5 stars and they didn't do anything. It's because they didn't do anything that I give them 5 stars. Let me explain. My wife has a Jeep Liberty that made an intermittent grinding sound in the left rear tire area when she pressed on the brakes. Because of the nature of the sound, I thought it might be dirt or something on the brakes. But to be safe, I wanted to have it checked. We made an appt and took it to Midas in Venice. The mechanic took it for a test drive, then came back and put it on the rack. After taking a look, he came and talked to me about what he found... he found nothing wrong. Plenty of pad on the brakes, nothing wrong on the drum. No issues. Probably just dirt he said. The 5 stars aren't because he saved me money, the 5 stars are because in this day and age you expect the worst and I even told my wife "we've given them the perfect opportunity to replace something that may not need to be replaced". They didn't. They sent me on my way without charging me a dime. With this type of professional integrity, this will be the only place I'll take my vehicles in the future. We're new to the area and we've found our mechanic for the duration.

Just passed by this Midas. They have a sign that reads " Don't let the fake news scare you" Is this supposed to draw customers? They should be ashamed of this during a pandemic. Will NEVER use them for our vehicles!

I went to Midas in Venice to get a warranty replacement from Midas/interstate. The manager Bill was just the Grumpiest man, rude as well. He called My Midas in RI and was just as rude to them , when they were only trying to help. I will never go back to Midas of Venice .

We had an A/C issue after a long road trip. Brought it into Midas and they said it was no problem to fix, ended up fixing it for free. Great business.

I had an older car and came here for routine maintenance as well as for bigger issues, i.e an alternator had to be replaced. They replaced the alternator and a month later my alternator was broken again. They fixed the alternator and also paid for all the towing fees that incurred from my car dying in the middle of the road. I paid nothing, which was the right thing for them to do. Some months later other things were breaking on the car and it was costing more than the car was worth. The owner of this Midas also sells used cars right next door. He bought my Honda and I purchased a newer Hyundai from him. A few weeks later, my new car was having transmission issues. I took the car in to Midas and they replaced the transmission free of charge. All in all, Greg the owner, treated me like I was one of his own daughters and took real good care of me. I would and do recommend this Midas to others.

Had a mystery issue with our family suv, something no one was able to figure out. Firestone and the Ford dealership both recommended we take it to Midas and speak to Rubin (sp?). Rubin came out to the parking lot and listened to the issues I told him I was having and within a couple of minutes correctly diagnosed the problem. Repair was fast, reasonable in price and the staff were more than personable. Overall, a great experience and extremely happy to have this issue solved after two years

I brought my SUV with a muffler leak which they showed me. There was no replaceable pipe so they needed to cut out and weld in a new piece and splice in the pollution control sensor that was in the cut out section. They quoted me $150 which seemed reasonable because they needed to pull the exhaust apart. I scheduled the repair for my bowling league time next door. I wasn't too happy to see the manager between frames who walked over. He said that they were having trouble getting the pollution control sensor out and if it was damaged it would be $300 just for the part. My check engine light had been on for a year+ and Nappa said it was either an input oxygen sensor of the catalytic convertor sensor. Since FL doesn't have emission inspection I told him to do what they could and just put it back without the sensor if necessary. They also said I had a family of rodents living in my cabin filter. I also asked them to change the oil and filter with my official Toyota filter that I had and with Mobil 1, 75,000+ mile synthetic I use. I had plans to do it myself but couldn't just see it for $19.99. When I went to pick it up they were able to successfully remove the catalytic convertor sensor and put it back in place, rebuilding the mounting tube. Even though the work seemed to take longer than they originally estimated they charged me the original price. They replaced the cabin filter, with no labor cost, for less than it would have cost at Toyota (who would have charger labor). They also checked and they found a possible leak in the transfer case which they filled up. When I got home I discovered a little hiccup where they didn't use my oil and filter. I called them and they said come right back and they redid it with my stuff, no charge. %#$&* happens. So I got a free oil flush. I even used a $20 coupon I got online. As others mentioned they did try to sell me other stuff but I do know the 'no' word. An unexpected benefit is my 'check engine' light seems to be fixed. I pulled the battery to reset it and it hasn't come back for a week. I guess it was a real error because the sensor detected the wrong mixture because of the leak. They seem to check the vehicle for everything and do try to sell you other stuff (not necessarily unnecessary as I am due for spark plugs) but if you know how to say 'no' they seemed to be competent and honest. The manager is easy to work with. I'm used to being ripped off up north so my Florida repairs have been good thus far. I was sorry to see "Totally Exhausted" go under though, who did my other repairs.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. My boyfriend, his grand mother and I took his car to fix a hole in the muffler. We came back to pick up the car, and the grubby man manager sat us down, as it was "bad news". He launched into this story, saying the car was in a shape that it could have broken down at any moment. He scared my boyfriends grandmother and made her cry. The cost to fix the car-- $2000 dollars. Fortunately her husband came with us, and as they started to break down the costs, he and my bf noticed that not only the cost of labour was outrageous, but the repairs were dubious. 2000 was way more than the car was worth, and he tried lowering down the price by knocking off a bunch of repairs-- making their necessity doubtful. And then at the end of it, he mentioned he was a car salesman and could offer us a price! Well that was it. We paid for the way over priced muffler fix and left. My bf called his dad, who knows cars, and he started laughing when he learned of some the repairs they proposed. A broken "intake manifold gasket" they could only know if they took the engine apart/ the car was smoking. We took it to be looked at somewhere else the next day, and nothing was wrong. This shop lied- this is obviously very illegal. The guy, in trying to convince us the repairs were a usual fix-up, showed us receipts for other cars he had performed the same repair on. Clearly he ropes a lot of people in with this stunt! He thought we were two kids and an older woman who knew nothing about cars and could be bullied and exploited. Do not go here.

Took our vehicle in for an oil change at the Midas in Venice, Fl. When they did the courtesy inspection they said the license plate lights were not working and that they could fix them for us. The mechanic was insistent that they be repaired so that we wouldn't get a ticket. We said that we would come back next week to have them replaced. When we got home I checked under the car and saw that the lights were disconnected from the box and wrapped around some wires behind the plate. When I turned them on they worked fine and I had to reconnect them to the plate myself. Not the way to run a business. Customers beware!
