“I can't recommend the Sun & Sea Pharmacy on Tamiami Trail in Venice, FL enough! I'm now paying 50% less on my prescription. Here's the story. Once I got Medicare Advantage, my migraine meds copay went from $5, 10 or $15.. to an unbelievable $80 at the lowest (and usually listed as costing up to $160). I spent so much time researching how to lower my cost. I tried GoodRX, WellRX, Single Pay, Amazon, even a drugstore in Canada. I even got my carrier to put my meds on formulary! It was still crazy expensive. Someone recommended I go see Richard & Kacey, owners of Sun & Sea Pharmacy. They formerly worked at Publix and Walgreens in the pharmacy so they're very experienced. My copay is now $40 something, half the cost! They are not only wonderfully compassionate people, they live in this community and care about the community. How do they cut prices? They shop around for distributors when getting our medications so their customers pay less. Every time I walk into this mom-and-pop type pharmacy there are people milling around talking and laughing, many just stopping by to visit. That says a lot. I hope this helps you, especially if you're a senior struggling to pay for expensive medications. Tell 'em you read Barbara's review! :)”

“This is a great Company to do business with. we have been ordering our Synthroid from this organization for years now.. It does come from abbot labs and it is the true and correct medication. A previous reviewer claims she had received fake medications but this is impossible. Why would they send a counterfeit after 20 years in business for a 68 dollar order? Doesn't make sense!”

“Most employees are helpful and nice. Each time I'm in the store, it always seems that they are short on employees; however, they do have signs posted that they are hiring. The store is always clean. I absolutely LOVE the smaller shopping carts!!!!! Perfect for small shopping visits or when shopping for heavier items, like 12 packs of soda or beer....or shopping for a beach day!”

“We care for me see is by far the best pharmacy I have ever been to In My Life. That is no exaggeration, I've been on medication everyday medication at least for the Last 5 Years and before that any pharmacy ever went to especially the big box pharmacy stores always made you wait hours or days and had way too much to handle and bit off more they can chew. I can tell you right now that we care pharmacy is literally the complete opposite of your box stores, extremely personable friendly and I can't stress this enough they are fast friendly knowledgeable and professional.Marci is an absolute expert and has tons of experience, and pharmacist Nick is an absolute gentleman and an absolute professional and he's extremely nice he made it a point to say hello even though he was on hold he peeked out and said hello and when we were leaving he stepped to the front and had a quick conversation with myself and my mother, needless to say our entire family will be transferring their prescriptions from Walmart CVS and Walgreens. When I say my family I mean my immediate family and my aunts and uncles that have heart issues and whatnot. I couldn't imagine a better Pharmacy to go to, if they ever close which I don't think they ever will because they've been in Venice what seems like forever, I don't think I could ever be satisfied with another Pharmacy again after. It's kind of like once you had the best or something everything else is subpar. Excuse me for my typing or my punctuation I'm using text to talk and it doesn't allow me to type it out sometimes it will allow me to punctuate by speaking otherwise it we'll spell out the punctuation word. Overall experience would be a 10 out of a 10 my doctor sent my prescriptions over as soon as I walked in the door she heard my voice and knew who I was and went right back there found my prescriptions and they were filled and done in under 10 minutes, and that being because we were having conversation. So I can imagine how fast I would have been in and out if for example I called in a refill and came in the next day I would probably would have been in and out in under 5 minutes. I can't stress that I highly highly recommend this Pharmacy you have zero hassles when you go there, and they are professionals that actually care about you and your well-being. If you're looking for a pharmacy that will have your medication on time and won't treat you like the box stores do, if you want that Mom and pop type experience then again this is your place to go. Although they have a decent amount of customers they know everybody by name I can't say the same thing about any of the box stores. I'll say this again I highly highly highly highly highly highly recommend them. And to anyone with anxiety in general even if it's undiagnosed they make it so easy that there is zero anxiety involved or zero stress so if you're one of those people that are stressed out easy or suffer from anxiety diagnosed or not you will not feel an outs of anxiety when you speak with the staff there or when you go into the pharmacy. It's a very relaxing environment, not to mention that they have great pricing on over-the-counter medications that beat even stores like Walmart and Publix. If you're from the Venice area they're located on the island, instead of taking the bypass go through downtown Venice and you can't miss them they're the turn right after the light for Publix the building is yellow so if you're coming from North Port which would be North then instead of taking the bypass you would go through downtown Venice and it would be on your right if you're coming south ,Laurel Road and 41 and you would Veer to the right go through downtown Venice and then make a left before the light for Publix you can see the public sign but more importantly you will see the yellow building that we care pharmacy is in and they have a sign in red lettering that says we care Pharmacy, it would be very hard to miss it but I wanted”

“The female pharmacist at the store at 535 Tamiami trail is wonderful. She spent almost an hour on the phone clearing up my insurance issues. I wish I knew her name so I could give kudos.

“I just have to say how wonderful the whole pharmacy staff was. Especially Chloe, she went above and beyond! My husband just got out of the hospital and I needed to wait for his prescriptions. He was supposed to be waiting in the car and instead here he comes shuffling into the store. Well Chloe heard me asking him why he was walking without any assistance because he’s a fall risk. Next thing I know here she comes with a scooter for my husband to use while we were in the store. How sweet was that?There were a lot of new faces there and I have to say they all worked great together as a team. “Our Walgreens pharmacy stays very busy with the volume of prescriptions they receive. They do get even busier during season. In addition to filling prescriptions, as quickly as they can, the pharmacy staff does their very best to answer pharmacy customer phone calls, help customers with over-the-counter medicines, etc. With the pharmacy drive through, you can easily pick up a prescription and be on your way. If you are waiting for a prescription or just doing some in store shopping you can peruse Venice Souvenirs and even purchase Venice High School souvenir clothing as well.”

“I just want to say these guys went above and beyond today for my family. It’s Memorial Day and all the other pharmacies are closed except this one CVS in Venice. I left them a voicemail and someone actually called me back and said they could fill the script and will be open till 6. I got in my car and The pharmacist clearly has been slammed all day but managed to keep a smile and work as quickly as he could to help as many people as he and his team could. I waited patiently as he worked through the insurance headaches and a still managed to find a discount for us since our insurance company would not cover the script. The pharmacist filled my script in under 15 minutes. I thanked them and seriously could not have gotten my daughter her script to help her from being miserable from a severe cough without this caring pharmacy team. Thank you CVS!”

They have a drive-through so it's very convenient too. I've been in the store and do like the variety of items from goodies to make-up to gifts to some clothing items and much more. The staff is always helpful and kind too.”
