DO NOT! use this location for renting a car. I recently landed here and about 15 people on my plane had rented a car. I was about 7th in line. The person at the desk moved slower than Priscilla Tripletoe in Zootopia. It was taking about 20 minutes for each person to get their car and they didn't have anyone around to help her out. Almost 2 hours to get my car and the only reason it wasn't over that is because they finally got someone else at the desk.They have a dot matrix printer and the amount of paper shuffling that was being done was extraordinary. The entire line was joking that we were in an SNL skit. The car was good, although not filled all the way. They obviously aren't ready for business here.

This is the WORST experience I’ve ever had renting a car. I’d love to give this location a “zero” rating! From the hour+ wait in line, in person customer service, not having the type of car I reserved in advance, not being able to get ahold of this Avis location in person when there was an issue with the rental car and the poor quality of the vehicle that was rented. I would NEVER rent from Avis again and certainly NEVER from this location!Even after vacation I continue to have to deal with this company to resolve issues with additional charges charged to my credit card (Which needed to refunded after two separate phone calls and an hour+ on the phone!) and tolls charged to my credit card that wasn’t me. PLEASE check all your rental paper work to be sure it’s correct! Take pictures of the rental and the mileage. They mixed up the type of vehicle that I had with someone else’s rental and tried billing me for it! Now I need to call a different number to dispute the toll charges. What a complete nightmare and waste of my time!

Line was exceptionally long. Employee was rude when scanner wouldn’t work. Kept interrupting my process with people returning cars. wish my company never switched from National to Avis. Will leave same review with my employer

I need to contribute to the negative reviews that have been given to this branch. I hope they are read by people before renting from here. Do not chose AVIS. I cannot entirely fault the on-site staff since they have technology they take literally 15min per rental! We had to wait over 2hrs with three kids that were very excited about their vacation.The staff there isn't very friendly either but maybe because they have a miserable job. I don't know how they stay open. I am a preferred customer too and could not just jump in the car though my online reservation via the app so don't count on that!If your reading this in line and have people in front of you, know that each person is going to take at least 15 min to get their rental... insane with today's technology.Also the car was dirty and I had to pay an extra $100 to even rent from this place. I don't think this could have been much worse of an experience.

This place deserves negative stars. While the people that work, there were not the most competent I’m glad that they actually work there and completed my rental. I would rate the two women that work there 3 to 4 stars. However the management deserves negative stars this location is inadequately staffed at the front desk, people cleaning, getting ready for rental etc. Using technology from 1990 dot matrix printers, I actually brought my children into the building to show them the technology because they’ve never seen it and will never see it again. It took one hour for them to accomplish 4 rentals in front of me . Please shut down this branch or get new management to fix this location. This was the worst car rental disaster I have ever been a part of.

Horrific customer service provided by the white haired lady at the desk. Since minute one this lady was unwilling to help. I am 25 with a debit card for some reason I could not get the credit which I had no problem in other occasions. I tried to ask her the reason several times and she literally said “the computer has denied you”. I just wanted a reason to be able to rent a car next time. I asked her to try one more time and she didn’t want to. I was really sad and she was rude and 0 emphatic. Never wrote a bad review but she made me feel really bad.

Does Avis train people in general customer service? Good Lord...go get your rental elsewhere or be ok with adding 2 hours to your trip. ?

We waited for 25 min for this sloth to process our information. The room is full and you cannot hear her and she refuses to speak any louder. She litterslly got into an altercation with my friend. It's always something with these sloths.

I love the staff at Avis here in Vero beach out at the regional airport. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and always working to make the rental a great experience.

The car rental is good however I’m giving them 2 stars purely because of the horrific customer service provided by the white haired lady at the desk every time I have rented a car. She is rude, unhelpful, and has made requests about picking up and returning cars at different times to the ones we have requested, providing different documents each time, and has charged me multiple times for the young drivers fee which is already included in the cost when booking on the app. She has also tried to not let me rent a car due to a UK license until I requested her to check with her manager. It seems like she doesn’t not know the company policy on many fronts and treats paying customers poorly and with a bad attitude, making the whole experience unpleasant and stressful. Many of my friends have also used AVIS and received the same level of service from this member of staff.

Had to exchange a car. Phyllis was so pleasant and helpful! Had Had an unpleasant experience when we got the first car on 9/15. Woman at desk very curt and unpleasant! Phyllis was so nice!!

Avis Reservation said airport office closed at 2 pm on Saturday so we arrived 5 hours before our flight to return car despite paying for full day. Avis desk actually opened later - cost us a half day of vacation day sitting outside airport.

Good place to go, just an put dated system, that takes too long and where they are situated in the airport leaves no room for people to walk around you
