Friendly employees! Had a great conversation with the guy who put the trailer on. Everyone we dealt with was great. They had exactly what we needed and helped us out. They lady at the front desk was nice to us. She told us everyone was gone to lunch and to come back in 30. Wasn't rude or anything about it.

If I could give this place a lower rating than zero, I would… very rude people and yell at you for absolutely no reason. Please stay away from this place as far as possible, not worth your time.

Don’t rent from this U-Haul company.
On the agreement sheet, they said the gas would be on the 11/16 mark but it was on the 1/2 mark which is way lower. I noticed the difference as soon as I got in the truck and took pictures of it to show them later because the line to speak to the receptionist was long, slow and I was running late so I left. Literally 6 miles later I brought the truck back with the gas still on the 1/2 mark and explained the whole thing to that receptionist. I even showed her proof with the pictures I took. There was no way I used much gas after driving for just 6 miles but she still told me I’m responsible for making sure the gas is at the 11/16 mark or else they would charge me. As a man of color, the last thing I want to do is argue because next thing you know I’m the bad guy stirring up trouble. So I took the truck and filled it up.
If you have no choice but to rent from them, make a thorough inspection of the truck before you get going and let them know anything you notice right away. unfortunately, it seems they don’t inspect their trucks so you could end up in a worst situation than mine.

There aren't words sufficient to describe how terrible this U-Haul location is. I was transferred here involuntarily by U-Haul due to truck availability, and I ended up refusing to work with them.
The site itself is creepy, and I never would allow my wife or daughter to enter this location alone. The staff is not just incompetent, but actively hostile. Simply horrible people.
The GOOD news, however, is that you DON'T HAVE TO USE THESE PEOPLE. There are other GREAT U-Haul locations you can use in Vero Beach. I highly recommend Specialty Auto Group on US 1 as an alternative. It's who I used, and I am extremely grateful that I did.

They had the trailer I needed and it was very reasonable in price. They hooked it up and removed it on my return. Great service, very affordable.

Downgrade was just that it's a bit confusing, in that it's a junkyard.
As well, there's no "office" but just a window for someone to stand outside and shout through the glass and 3x7 or so inch pass-through.
The hookup guy was very friendly and supportive when we had some confusion with the new receiver I'd bought, so once you get behind the junkyard-dog appearance, and go to one of the parts (3 driveways/gates down the street) where trailers are kept, along with towed wrecks before disposal (we had someone T-bone us running a red light a few years ago, and this is where we came to fetch our personal stuff from the remains), you're out promptly.
There was also an issue which probably wasn't their fault, where my discount for a delivery when finished with my use, to suit UH's inventory needs, wasn't applied; UH corporate solved that instantly in a chat...
Those two things aside, they were very competent and friendly.

SCAM ALERT! I rented a small truck. I put 8 miles on it in the 45 minutes that I had it. Right before turning back it in I put 1.75 gallons of gas in it at the station right next to the location. So unless the truck gets less then 2 miles per gallon, I left it with MORE fuel then I got it with. On the final bill from them they charged me for 2 gallons of fuel! After complaining to Uhaul (crickets chirping) and waiting a week I got no response, even after I provided my gas station receipt as proof. Its only $7 but still...

Upon returning after hours do not park in front of gate entrance even tho there a tow company / uhaul dealer the uhaul will be towed at your expense

Wrost and unprofessional place i had the disgrace to step in. The lady (Patty) that handle the place is really nasty, totally unprofessional, i don't even know how they manage to keep the uhaul franchise or even stay on business. My advice, avoid it at all cost.
