Our 15 year old cat just stopped eating, we brought her in and were so pleased with the kind help given by Dr. Klein, he offered us an immediate, affordable and onsite ultrasound read by Dr. Horn. We are trying medication to help our Twinkle to eat, and want to highly recommend them. Thanks to vet tech Maddison and front desk too.

I’m a 17yr old girl who loves her cat and when I saw he was unwell I was immediately concerned and wanted to take him to the vet. As I arrived they asked questions and when I mentioned he was outdoors their mood had kind of a negative shift which I believe had some impact on how they treated me throughout my appointment. They made my concern feel unimportant and then took my money for tests and gave me no clue of what they believed was wrong. I spent $340 for no information. They gave me an anti-inflammatory as a possible treatment for his irritated throat which did nothing for him. As they checked his mouth they said that was all however I took him to a kinder vet a few days later and they looked at his mouth, gave me a diagnosis, gave me some medication and a plan. My cat is doing much better because of the VCA in Tri-county. I’m really disappointed that it was the same branch yet two very different reactions. I was charged for things that I didn’t need and they were more interested in taking my money and making me spend more money than I already did for the wrong things, and not concerned about the actual well being of my animal. As a young pet owner or if you’re someone with little knowledge I highly recommend not going here and I’m extremely disappointed in the staffs lack of concern and credentials.

For eight years Dr. Horn and their team have treated my pets with the greatest care--compassionate, loving, kind, professional. They are the simply the best and we are so thankful for all the excellent health care they have given our cat and dogs. After having a few pets at a time for over 25 years, we have been to many different vets in Florida. VCA Vero is sincerely amazing--they have done everything to fit us in and give us prompt, honest, excellent, kind care. Dr. Horn is an amazing Veterinary Doctor and surgeon. His team are all very gracious, kind, courteous and professional.

I just wanted to thank Dr Horn and staff for taking care of my dog Diamond- I went to emergency vet in Port St. Lucie and they wanted so much money for testing - I did some test there 800.00 later to have them say I needed more testing - I took her home and went to see Dr Horn. The staff was amazing- He was amazing- My dog had a rare bone disease that was in her spleen- Dr Horn was completely honest and told me what the put coke would most likely be- I chose to try …. They were amazing - my dog Diamond made it through surgery and a few months longer- I’m so happy to have had that time with her- she was still like her own puppy ways even though she was older- she lived a happy life and we did get to have the time to process what was going on. If you are looking for a place that cares and is very honest this is where you want to go - for what I spent on the little bit of test for my dog at the other place I spent - it was about a third of what I spent for everything Dr Horn did. I’m greatly appreciative for many reasons - Thabk you Dr horn we all tried to fight something that was a big fight- Especially my girl Diamond ?

I don't know where to start, lets start with the price gouging. Over $600 to have a kitten spayed and rabies vaccinated? No chip, no over night stay. Yeah, the economy sucks and inflation is outta control, but come on... seriously?I have terminal cancer. My kitten was a gift. A gift my family set up an appointment with this facility (they loved the owner, or I'm assuming previous owner?) They prepaid for the services. I dropped my kitten off at 8:00am as scheduled. Got concerned around 2:45pm as I hadn't heard from them all day. Finally they called me at 4:15pm informing me I could pick her up at 6:00. I was the first one there this morning and the last to leave this evening. Why? I don't know. According to them everything went smooth. One can only speculate other animals needed immediate emergency medical attention. I know when I go to MOFFITT cancer center they don't make me wait 24 hours until I can EAT or DRINK during a procedure. That was my biggest concern for my kitten.Well upon picking my kitten up I was informed I owe another $275. The receptionist was nasty to say the least. Felt like I was in a greasy pawn shop. But the worst of it was after I paid, (were they going to hold my kitten hostage and put her DOWN if I did not have the money to pay NOW? That's the impression I got) the vet tech (I NEVER judge a book by it's cover) with the scribble tattoos all over her, horrific attitude and "dilated pupils" drops my kitten on the ground in her carrier. At this point (I'm a retired Masters Certified Addictions Professional, and a 2 minute biopsychosocial is all I needed to assert I seriously doubt my kitten received any ketamine during surgery as this tech's eyes said it all.) I was given paper work and meds explaining how to administer her medications. I've never had a kitten, nor do I understand the process. It was a "here you go, now get out before we charge you more atmosphere." No, call if you have questions, no explaining. NO CARE. Rude, inconsiderate, uncompassionate. Saddening to say the least. Heart breaking. We will be doing our post op at another facility. As I DO NOT trust these people. Half the staff I met shouldn't be allowed around other humans better yet defenseless animals left alone.

I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and I've never had a bad experience here! I've had many cats throughout the years and VCA treats every single one like their own. They work with you as much as possible. They'll literally sit there and go through ALL of their options to see which works best for you. They are very flexible with pricing and will recommend treatments based on how much you can afford. The staff there is so friendly and will always greet you with a smile. Can't recommend this place enough!

Jeremy Nix was the provider taking care of my dog when I came to VCA. He was not patient with my dog, nor was he kind to him while my dog was scared. He didn’t try to comfort my dog, he just gave up and didn’t even examine him. His interaction with one of his staff members while in the exam room was rude and unprofessional.

Dr. Matthew Klein is the best! I’ve been bringing my papillon to him for years and have always been so pleased with his care and concern for my Lucy girl. I had a not-so-great experience with another vet here recently but Dr. Klein saved the day with his kind and gentle approach. I am so grateful for him!!

took my cat there for a checkup they took her in the back of the exam rooms when they came back they told me the bill was 600.00 i asked for what they ran up a bill by trimming claws, shots even though she had them flea treatments and she had those, examination fees, etc after telling them there was no way i was paying those charges and to bring me my cat they refused to return her till they were paid i ended up paying them 200.00 that they said was minimum.I also used to use them with my diabetic cat (same cat) one night my cat had a seizure i called them told them of the emergency and explained i will drop her off and pay you after work when i get my check they refused to see the cat without immediate payment my cat died i will never go there again and i suggest you think twice before going here

I had taken my Cavalier King Charles to them since she was an 8 week old puppy. Their care , compassion and expertise has ALWAYS been exemplary. I highly recommended them!My beloved 15 yr old pup was lovingly treated by Dr Nix in her later years and when she recently died of old age- a very thoughtful sympathy card - individually signed by each one of the staff members & doctors - was sent to my home. The VCA Florida Veterinary League team is amazing! ❤️

Been using them for years. Dr. Horn is an amazing surgeon. He repaired torn ACLs on 2 of my dogs. They both lived their lives out with not so much as a minor limp afterwards. Also, they charged me hundreds less than any other estimate I got. We have also had Dr Kappel and, currently, Dr. Klein working with us. We work intensively with rescues and foster a large number of kittens, especially bottle babies who have been orphaned. We always receive the best care and they keep us up to date on newer medicines and treatments to offer the best care to the animals we foster. I had a scheduled appointment today and one of our other neonates had developed a problem overnight. Dr Klein, as well as Dr. Kappel in the past, we’re very accommodating in fitting the extra little “emergencies” in with the original appointments. That’s very important in dealing with week old puppies and kittens. They work WITH us and, unlike others, don’t try to work above us. That makes for a pleasant environment and cooperation that is necessary when working with projects like this. I have heard similar comments from other rescue groups and Dr Horn’s dedication to working with shelter and rescue animals is legendary in rescue circles. I could go on but I think this pretty much tells the story. We can only highly recommend them.

They provide excellent care for my dog and have from the beginning. I made the mistake of putting a flea and tick medicine on her from Walmart. She had hives all over her body. I called the vet I had been taking her to. The said they couldn't see her for several days even though I told the it was urgent. I called VCA and the took her in that day. They were excellent and called me the next day to see how she was doing. Every time I've had to take her there they follow up the next day with a call. I took the monthly service with them and I don't have to pay for office visits. I just have to pay for meds when needed. Also don't pet for yearly shots. I take her often for nails to be cut and they are always very gentle taking her in the back. I usually see Dr. Klein but if he's not in I've seen other doctors. The are all great.
