About Welaka National Fish Hatchery - Aquarium
Welaka National Fish Hatchery - Aquarium is a small, free, one-room aquarium on the main road. It is an amazing and excellent place for an educational stop or a quick visit to stretch your legs. Visitors get a close-up view of about 15 tanks of assorted native Florida freshwater fish. It is very interesting and perfect for learning about the local habitat and the hatchery. It is open daily, approximately from 9 am to 3 pm.

Nice place to see native fish and other wildlife displayed live and it's free! Make sure to sign in so they know where you're from.

Very nice place but lighting inside building is a bit poor I don't know if it's because it needs to be that way for the aquariums that are inside there but very hard to read the placards about the fish
