“I cannot say enough good things about Planned Pethood Wesley Chapel and the care they gave Aurora. She came to them in extremely poor condition after being found outside, severely underweight and very sick. What followed was a difficult and complicated situation, and this team was extraordinary from beginning to end.
Dr. Brainerd was clearly highly capable, thoughtful, and compassionate. He handled a very challenging case with both skill and kindness, and I always felt that Aurora’s best interests were at the center of every decision.
Sara, the Senior Technician, was truly exceptional. “Above and beyond” does not begin to describe the level of care she gave Aurora. She took a genuine personal interest in her recovery, was incredibly attentive to every detail, and consistently made me feel that Aurora was in the hands of someone who truly cared about what happened to her. She somehow managed to take care of both Aurora and me through an incredibly stressful few days. Her compassion, knowledge, and dedication were remarkable.
Brianna was also wonderful. She cared for Aurora during her subsequent visits and gave her the same kind of attentive, compassionate care that had made me feel so comfortable with the team from the beginning. I never felt that Aurora was simply being passed from one person to another — there was a real sense that everyone involved knew her situation and genuinely wanted to see her recover.
What impressed me most was that Aurora never felt like “just another patient.” These people were invested in her. They were compassionate without being unrealistic, thorough without pushing unnecessary care, and incredibly supportive during a very difficult situation.
Aurora is finally home, eating, recovering, and comfortable, and I am profoundly grateful to Dr. Brainerd, Sara, Brianna, and the entire Planned Pethood team for helping get her here. I would recommend them without hesitation.”
