If I could give zero stars, I would. As others have said, the "lady" at the front counter was one of the most unpleasant, unfriendly employees I have ever encountered! When we came in and said hello, she just glared at us.My wife wanted to take a picture of a product that her brother overseas likes, and the woman yelled, "NO PICTURES!!"We just looked at each other, shook our heads and headed for the door. As we were leaving, the woman's dog started going crazy at the counter, lunging for us and barking wildly. If she hadn't held it back, I have no doubt we would have gotten bit.How this place is even in business is beyond me. The Korean place on N Wickham is big, clean, much bigger selection and nicer people. Go there. Avoid this place at all costs!

I have gone to this store a couple times and I always walk out of there wondering how I just spent so much money. Last time I bought three different sauces and the total was over $30. There are no prices on anything so they can literally charge you whatever they'd like. Their dog is always sitting on the counter where you pay and it barks and growls at my child every single time we go. I would not recommend this store at all, I always feel ripped off when I walk out of there.

I found what I needed and the lady was nice. Her dog however was no behaved at all. Kept barking and lunging at my small child. I only got 5 things and it was soo expensive. I was a bit disappointed with the store. Nice product bad atmosphere.

I should have looked at the reviews before going in this place. Just like most people's experience, it was horrible. My wife had her phone in her hand, and the woman started yelling at her from across the store "no pictures!". My wife politely tried to explain that she wasn't taking any. As I was suggesting to my wife that we should just leave, the lady just said "get out". I just don't understand how they are still in business when that behavior has carried on for this many years.

This is by far the worst Asian store ever it needs to be put out of business! My wife, who is Filipina and my daughter went to the store and as soon as my daughter was looking at a text on the cell phone the woman accused my daughter of taking photographs of the store and then proceeded to argue with my wife. My wife told me she followed them around the store! Proceeding to argue with my wife, so finally, Wife said I’m not buying nothing here we’re leaving right now and the Lady open up the door and said well leave now! Opened the door and told my wife not to come back! Very rude you’re better off going somewhere like in Vero Beach, where they have more stores to choose from!

I had an unpleasant experience at this store! The owner of this store was rude, seems as if she didn't want me to browse through the store. The price is about 40% higher than other Asian grocery stores.

When I first went in I tried to take a picture of a product to show my mother. The clerk politely requested i not do so. I respected her wishes and apologized. I went out and reentered the store after about seven minutes hoping to purchase the product. The clerk asked me what I was looking for. I told her I was looking and wanted to purchase several more items. She then told me she was going on a break and was closing the store. I still want to buy but now I am going somewhere else. They are losing money. I believe an employee can go on break and still run the store. Seems like poor management. I won’t be back.

The products are good, but I just had a terrible experience. While I was paying for my oyster sauce, the dog that lives there suddenly started barking at me in the most startling and aggressive way.

Prices are high. Aggressive dog on the counter ( what is already weird for the grocery store) jumped and almost bit my daughter.

So me, my Mom and my sister ate at the diner next to this store. They burnt something while we were eating so we all smelt like smoke. After breakfast, we went to this Oriental market, walked into a lady and a dog sitting on her counter. Said hello and got no response which is fine. So not even a minute in the store, the lady stood up and said (in a very demeaning way) 'can you go outside because your food stink' referring to my Mom's takeout box which is an omelet. We all looked at each other and then back to her and she was holding up her index finger covering her nostrils then she again said rudely 'go outside, it stink' while pointing at the door. The dog sitting on the counter started barking and yapping at us so we just decided to leave the establishment. This is no exaggeration, we were a little embarrased on how we were talked to, which she could have relayed nicely, esp being their costumers.

I actually had a really nice conversation with the lady owner. When I check out for less than 12 items (small bags of instant noodles, frozen pork buns and seaweed shells), it was $90!!! I was distracted and paid. I drove away for ten minutes, parked my car and checked the receipt. I drove back and apologized about not realizing how expensive things were (prices were not marked); she was not happy but not angry; told me normally there's no refund but she will refund me with a fee. I told her I'll buy the most expensive item: pork buns: 8 of them for $15 - it was closer to $30 when she rung me up.I didn't care, just want my money back. She did have her dog there, on the counter. He was pleasant the first visit. But I think she tapped him or something. By the end of the refund, he was very vicious, barking with teeth and all. It was quite scary. I ran out of there and never coming back!I purchased same items at Jason's Produce for $30. Please avoid this place!

I am from Japan. We drove around the area to see many oriental markets in the area. This store has the best selection and presentation out of all the oriental markets we visited. The store is clean. It does not leak of fishy smell like some stores do. The owner and her dog are friendly and sweet. They will both remember you and if you stay, the lady will chat with you to catch up. ?? If you wanted recommendations, she can answer your questions. If you have questions about prices, just ask. She has a much larger selection of refrigerated and frozen foods, which are what I look for the most because they are hard to get online. It really looks like she gave lots of thoughts into choosing the products for her store. The products they have are authentic. We could not find anything we wanted to get from other stores, but we always find what we want from here. They dog she has is tiny. Today, was a cold day, so he was under a jacket staying warm. Often times, he is taking his nap. He was very well behaved and did not make a sound. He was very happy to see us and wagged his tail as he approached us at the counter to smell us. Other than that, he left us alone to shop. We enjoy talking with the owner when we come to see how each other is doing. She remembers the products we like and she can show us the new items she gets at her store, but she won't force you to buy something. When we are done, she always walks us to the door and say "See you next time." I almost do not want to tell everyone else what specific foods from this store is best so she won't sell out.? But her snack and dessert selection is great if you are into Japanese snacks. She also has a large selection of noodles (both fry and registered) and asian condiments (sauce, cooking wine, etc). You can also find soap, cooking utensils, bowls, eating utensils (chopsticks and whatnot), rice, produce, dried peoducts such as seaweeds and bonito flakes, rice seasoning, tea, bottled and canned beverages such as ramune and tea, tea snacks both sweeet and salty kinds, miso, tofu, takoyaki, ice cream, sometimes she also has Japanese imported breads. If you are into those things, give this store a try. Owner is learning Japanese language now. ?
