Hours: The American Red Cross is an amazing and inclusive humanitarian organization that provides urgent help to communities and the military. It offers vital training in CPR, AED, and First Aid, with classes that can be fun, enjoyable, and led by very knowledgeable instructors. The organization is a larger branch with plenty of parking and its staff warmly welcomes visitors, taking time to explain its tasks. During crises like flooding, volunteers give out emergency supplies to devastated people. The need for volunteers is constant, especially to support blood donations. The American Red Cross also urges healthy individuals to donate blood, which can be scheduled via its app, website, or phone line. Donations of any size to Where It Is Needed Most make a difference. While one training session was reported as inadequate and less than one hour instead of six, leading to an investigation and an invalidated certificate, a retaken class with a different instructor was described as fantastic, with the full course exactly as it should have been. The organization addressed the issue by providing a refund or a voucher for retraining.
