Well why when you order a certain kind of car n when you get there it's not available. We had to almost 2 hrs in line. Then they said when my sister came to n wanted to drive the car all she had to do was come in n show her license n confirmation, not true my sister had to come back in n leave my 99 year mother in the car. Time to retrain your employees cuz the right hand doesn't know what the left had is doing. Not to happy

Upon booking my reservation I had high expectations for a Cadillac XT6 luxury vehicle. Upon arrival we were informed that the vehicle was unavailable and that we had options for an XT4 (smaller Cadillac) We ended up with a genesis gv80 and were disappointed that the vehicle we originally booked wasn’t available. I feel that Avis should have a surplus of the vehicles requested and compensation should be issued for vehicles of lesser quality.Avis responded below I explained my situation in detail and did nothing to compensate me for the issue. I will not be using Avis on my next trip unfortunately.

Car was delivered with center caps missing, dirty, a dent in the side .. and nearly bald (and cupped) tires. Car had over 50 K miles. I was told it was non-cancellable as it was part of a package .... UPDATE : Refunded $50 out of $370. I'd avoid Avis/Budget, at least in SE Florida .(Same company). This is 2 years with significant issues running. First one star review I think I ever posted. Just unacceptable.. Tires were dangerous. Wish I had noticed it earlier

We don't rent cars very often. No one to go threw vehicle with us and just pushed through. Dents, scratches and scrapes on vehicle. We drove to our destination for that day and didn't drive again for 2 days. Then found screw in back tire. Went to nearest Avis, Vero, and waited 2 hours for exchange, and with no personality. Then received email with additional $64 charge. Still have not got to bottom of that. Would not rent from AVIS again!

Worst service ever! Had reservations, been waiting over an hour for our car to come around. Employees screwing around, short line, and still took over 30 mins to check in. Bringing vehicles around still dirty, and wrong vehicles out to people. What a joke!!!!

The bus was waiting on us as we got out to the terminal. Once we arrived it was an easy process to get my car and I was on my way within ten minutes.Drop off was just as smooth!I will use them next time I travel and they give great discounts. Better than Enterprise!

Update as of 29-Feb-2024:Avis accepted and acknowledged the situation and refunded total $265 to closely match the price if not fully but I am okay with it. My recommendation to Avis for future is to develop proper intelligence in the booking website so the correct availability of the vehicles is reflected.And a constructive feedback is - if Avis cannot match the availability of the booked vehicle, at least provide free upgrade to customers. For example in my case 12 seater was not available, then at least provide me 8 seater which is closest one "without adding huge extra charge" on the same, similar price tag.For now I am updating my review and converting it to 5 star! Thanks Avis.Few issues I would like to highlight:1. When I went to pickup the 12 seater van, associate said the car is in another lot and you need to wait long as nobody was available to pick it. I said okay : a) But then suddenly I was asked to provide corporate ID, business cards etc. BTW, I was never asked these things in the past in 2 years at this location and I am regular renter. If Avis wants to start this process NEW, you should mention in the text message or email clearly that this is a new requirement so I can come prepared. b) Anyways, when I had the documentation, the 2nd associate said, we don't have 12 seaters available!! Just before an hour it was available in other lot!! c) Then I was forced to book another rental booking, so I said you should honor my cost for 12 seater ($336) and give me 8 seater for the same cost - they DENIED. d) Finally, losing 2.5 hours and patience, I said I will book you a new reservation. My original reservation was at $336 and the new one cost me $650 around..! e) I got Suburban - which was a bigger SUV although with very high cost to me, but I had a family waiting. When I boarded the vehicle, it was low on fluids, no oil change etc. I went back to desk, again got into a big line and told it to associate; he said get me the vehicle and he will OVERRIDE it from the dashboard - I wanted to go 1600 miles, so I did not want any overriding cheat code to the computer ECM which can jeopardies the vehicle or my journey with family on low fluids f) So finally, I came back to associate and got a very old 68k driven Ford Expedition which was almost worn out but accepted it as my fate for extremely high price just for the weekend.So I ended up losing 5+ hours through this pain, losing the working Friday, applying sick leave to office, paying double the price in frustration due to Avis issues.Avis should refund the total amount as a gesture of good customer service and problem I faced due to unavailability of your vehicles plus poorly enforced & organized processes and un-serviced vehicles!
