Just a monthly reminder DO NOT SIGN A LEASE AT CASA MARA. Pretty convenient after I make a bad review of how rude and unprofessional the maintenance team is, HANSEL and CANDACE (who fails to be a leader) to be exact, they create a bunch of fake reviews about themselves. Pretty much sums of what a joke they are. Hansel the maintenance man who is charge of fixing any type of problem you have in your unit DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, so communicating with him is close to impossible…… he is also not HVAC certified but, he is in charge of fixing any AC issues (and there are plenty of issues with their AC systems). Candace has failed to reach out to me regarding the mold that is inside my unit. I think she is incompetent when it comes to dealing with problems in her community. Maintenance men pretty much act like this entire community is theirs, parking their work vans inconveniently right by the gate in the spots where residents should have the right of way. Again, this place is ran down and with all of the new properties being built around it. It has only progressively gotten worse as the months go by. Save your money and do not trust these fake reviews they leave for themselves. Coming from a resident who will not be renewing her lease.

I am very happy at Casamara…
Since I moved here, I see Florida and this place as my paradise. The maintenance team is truly one of a kind, as is the management team. Casamara is my home.

I have been at Casamara for two years, and I am happy to call this my home sweet home. All the maintenance guys—Hansel and Maike—are incredible. All my service requests are completed quickly. Arlyn and Juan make all my paperwork very easy. Thanks to this wonderful team for everything they do. I would 100% recommend this property.

I have lived in this community for over two years, and I feel compelled to share my experience, particularly for anyone considering moving here… especially women living alone.
From the start, interactions with maintenance staff have been unprofessional and, at times, intimidating. After mentioning to the property manager, Candace, that one of the maintenance men made me uncomfortable with his attitude, his behavior escalated and became more aggressive. This only heightened my concerns about safety in my own building.
Security here is also a major issue. Maintenance staff often leave the gated entrance propped open for convenience since they use the first floor of my building as their storage space. Because of this negligence, a homeless man entered my building and knocked on my door asking for money.
Due to repeated issues, I asked Candace for permission to install a Ring camera near my front door, which she approved. The same day it was installed, a maintenance worker came and took a photo of my camera.. a behavior I found intrusive and harassing, especially since I had already expressed concerns about feeling unsafe.
More recently, I discovered what appeared to be mold in my AC vents. When I filed a maintenance request, I was told it was from candles I burned, which made no sense. The head of maintenance then told me it was my responsibility as a renter to clean the vents. Only after persistent follow-ups did they finally agree to clean them, and even then, they showed no regard for my belongings. Taking apart vents directly above my clothes, leaving debris and potential mold exposure, without asking me to move items or handling it themselves. When I raised concern, the maintenance worker dismissively referred to me as “OK lady” rather than addressing me respectfully by name.
Candace, the manager, has also been unprofessional. In over two years, I had never seen her in the office until recently. When I did meet her about the mold issue, she promised a same-day follow-up but instead left for the day without so much as an email or phone call.
These issues are not isolated. My girlfriend, who lives in another building within this community, also deals with AC problems and unprofessional management. Her building even has cheap fans hung in the hallways to compensate for poor air circulation.
Overall, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect shown by management and maintenance here is alarming. Between unsafe conditions, harassment-like behaviors, and disregard for residents’ property and comfort, I would strongly advise against living here, especially if you are a woman living alone.

Horrible place to live in. People that work at the leasing office (Juan) make it really difficult to get packages, have any family/friends over. Whenever someone comes, there is an issue coming from this guy. If you want a peaceful place for you, look somewhere else. Moving out tomorrow because enough is enough. That guy should be fired :)

One star.
I’m extremely disappointed with the state of our condominium. The electric car chargers have been broken for ages, which is ridiculous given how many residents rely on them. The gym is basically a free for all with non-residents constantly being brought in, defeating the purpose of a private facility. The pool is dirty because kids use the adult pool, and management does nothing about it.
To top it off, the air conditioning in areas like the main room and hallways doesn’t work, so we have fans making the place feel cheap despite the high rent. Residents also don’t pick up after their dogs, so it’s easy to step in dog mess, even in the dog park areas. People in higher floors let their dogs pee in front of the gates, and people slam the condo doors extremely hard. The hallways are dirty and don’t smell clean at all.
And no matter how many times we email management, they do absolutely nothing to resolve these problems.
If you’re considering living here, think twice until these issues are fixed.
