I responded to a bonus solicitation, to open a new business account. I scheduled an appointment online, to meet with "Pilar", in accordance with instruction. I received a call shortly thereafter, from Pilar, explaining she was not available at the designated appointment time. She stated the online scheduling does not reflect her personal schedule. She offered to speak with the branch manager to determine if someone else could handle the origination of the new account. Ultimately, she requested I come to the branch earlier. I explained I was 30 minutes away, barring any traffic issues, I would be there in 30 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later. Upon arrival it was noted, the reception area was devoid of a receptionist, however an employee instructed me to have a seat. During my thirty-minute wait for Pilar, I encountered five unrelated Citibank customers who voiced their unsolicited total dissatisfaction with their Citibank experience. One gentleman shared he had to come in person to the branch at least seven times within the last few weeks, traveling at least 45 minutes to an hour each way, as the bank was unable to handle anything other than in person. One lady shared she could not get her account closed fast enough. Her experience with the institution "horrid". Another, stating she had been trying for weeks to resolve an account issue via telephone to no avail. Eventually, Pilar made her way (I should say part of the way) to the waiting area and waived me to her area (a bit unprofessional, but alas ...no less professional than the "manager" drinking a large Wendy's soda whilst conversing with an employee and customer). Upon being seated Pilar commences asking her coworkers if they had removed the copies of the promotion from her area. Neither acknowledged having done so. I explained, I had the promotion in hand (actually presented it to her), I inquired if she was aware of the promotion. She acknowledged she was aware, but wanted her copy. Eventually, a copy was located. She began to ask a few questions, for which I answered, additionally providing her with the state verification of business entity. At this point, she states "You are aware this account cannot be funded today. The back office has to verify all the information. It will take 24 to 48 hours". I responded, "are you saying I have to return to this branch to fund the account? Why is it not possible to have done this portion online and then visit the branch post verification or opposite come in then ACH draft or wire the deposit?" Her response "that's the rules". This is a tidbit of pertinent information that should be disclosed immediately! Of course, now after being forewarned by the existing dissatisfied customers, the negative social media reviews, this experience, I chose not to waste any additional time or energy on this endeavor. The bonus would not be sufficient to endure the absolute absurdness of this organization or the lack of professionalism exhibited. What a waste of an hour and 45 minutes!!!!!

Absolutely appalling experience. I am a professional agent/representative and end of life doula/practitioner. I delivered in person the original power of attorney for review. Keep in mind I live 4 hours away. They needed to see it in person which is a violation of Florida Statute as financial institutions are to accept electronic copies and in case any one is unaware, Florida offer remote online notarization services so those documents are always digital. I did drive down to meet in person with Murshida Uddin who immediately took the papers and spoke to the manager, Noelia. Noelia never got up to meet me or ask any questions. This was a Friday afternoon. Instantly, I could sense something amiss. My client is a multimillionaire and they don’t want his account to go else where so they can float his funds and generate interest. The following Monday morning, the Polk Co. Sheriff’s Office is called to my clients residence as I was there to verify if I was my clients PoA as Noelia contacted PCSO to report suspected elder abuse. This also violated my clients health information (HIPAA violation). I was mortified as the neighbors see me coming out of the home being questioned like a criminal.Needless to say, litigation is in process against Citi, Murshida, Noelia and the legal team at Citi for failing to provide me in 4 business days a decision. Today is day 7. This is another violation of Florida State Statute.Murshida also is very rude and hangs up on you when you call.KNOW WHERE YOU BANK AT AS THIS BRANCH and FINANCIAL INSTITUTION VIOLATES MANY STATUTES.

Worst bank ever. I remember when I used to have an account in NYC. Now, everything is online and they hack people accounts, steal their identity out of IL and when show up at the branch they still talk to customer service over the phone. I spoke to a Muhammad lady at the WPB and she treated me like I was a nobody. What a self of entitlement only to open bank accounts - they had to call their overseas customer service number to get the same response I would have gotten if called myself. It’s a fraud they have that many branches in IL and WPB. Never was it ever out of control like it is now with online communications cyberstalking controlling tracking harassment!

Terrible experience from Alexandra Levy. Stating I need an entire account number to deposit when she’s deposited the check for me before and gave me a hard time back then too. It’s not hard to search someone up especially when you provide the last 3 of the checking acct and address. Doesn’t make sense to me why you can’t do it now when you’ve done it before but then again some people are just hard to deal with

If you have any accounts with Citi, then withdraw your money ASAP, while you can! They solicited me for an account. My husband transferred money there. The next day my account had been blocked along with a credit card without notifying me. I had to request an interpreter to talk to Citi customer service because representatives mumble and sound quality was awful. As it turned out Citi didn't like that my husband sent me money. At first, they claimed that my name wasn't on the sending account, then they wanted my husband's name to be on my account, then they said that my husband transfered money to himself on my account. Citi said that they blocked and closing all my accounts even though I didn't even pushed any keys to do the transfer. I am behind punished for an obvious mistake that wasn't even mine.I asked Citi to return the money to the issuing bank. Citi said that they cannot do that, and I will have to wait 30-60 business days while they close my account, and there nothing can be done about the process. Then the Citi hang up on me and the interpreter. We were both stunned.I called again and was told that my money had been transferred out 4 days ago to the bank where they came from. But the issuing bank told us a day before that the Citi blocked the transfer when we tried to claw our money back from Citi. Citi is saying that they don't have my money, we also don't have them. In my opinion, Citi stole my money. So, get your money out from Citi while you can. Let your friends know to do that as well.

Wow!I was about to open a savings account here but after reading these horrible reviews, no way will I walk into a bank with all this mess. It’s a stone throw from my home but miles away from the service that I need.Shame on you, Citibank. I’m really disappointed.

Have an account with them for about 13 years now. Citibank used to be so good! I don't know what happened with them in the past couple of years but most South Florida branches have now a horrible customer service, extremely long waits and they are also providing inaccurate information. (always different info from their 800 number) - I am unfortunately giving up on them and having to move on to another bank. Last night I called the bank requesting some assistance in regards to ordering checks and they told me that I would be able to get a fast printed emergency check for a small fee at my local branch, a service that they rather not advertise but it is existent. They are able to print 1-3 blank checks instantly. I went to the branch as instructed and after 45 min waiting in line, the teller tells me with an attitude that they do not provide this service, when I confronted her telling what the 800 number said, a customer standing in line right before me overhearing everything confirmed and said that she has done herself a couple of months ago. So the teller rudely cut her off saying that they don't do that anymore. It was notable how much she was just trying to get rid of the long line of customers. In her mean face expressions alongside with her almost yelling tone of voice, her overall attitude showed a bit of a 'I am quitting this job today' look. (They only had 1 teller and 2 personal bankers - something Citibank started doing in all their southeast FL branches since covid - they never really went back full mode - prob saving money with payroll - at the cost of their customers time every single time we have to go there) - Too sad. Several "abandoned " work desks, a handful of frustrated workers overwhelmed with dozens of clients. I wonder how other branches are doing, but I am affirming that my statement is accurate for the following branches (that I visit regularly due to work, kids school and work locations) West Palm Beach x turnpike / Boynton Beach Blvd x Jog / West Delray x Atlantic Blvd / East Boca x Federal Hwy

I've been a customer here for many years and always have a great experience each time I visit the branch. The tellers Diane and Melina are both so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They know exactly what they are doing, and they all work so well as a team according to what I have witnessed. Not to mention Shahel who went above and beyond to take care of some issues I faced with patience, kindness and thoroughness. It was wonderful to see how professional she was and how she used her expertise to deal with this matter efficiently. Citibank surpassed my expectations and in times like these, it is hard to find a good bank with good personnel that take time to show they care about their clients. If anyone says otherwise, they must not understand what banking is all about because this branch has always shown excellent customer service to me. I also want to recognize April from the customer service line (888 number for Citibank). We called this number at 10pm on a weekend and April went above and beyond her means to help us until the bank opened today and did a great job. Very professional and kind as well. I hope she is recognized...truly grateful especially considering this was a holiday weekend! Just an all great experience with Citibank

They won’t cash checks even if the check is a citi bank check. Worst service I’ve ever had. I’m glad I’m not an account holder, nor will I ever be.
