I never had a cat before.Suffice to say, I have NO IDEA what I’m doing in plenty of situations. Yet, after one visit to “For Cats Only”, I have an entire team of eager listeners to help me along. Not only do they handle my cat with all the medical professionalism you can expect from such a specialized facility, but their passion and love for cats is palpable. They answer all my questions promptly, and give considerate suggestions regarding different issues I might run into.I’ve literally called them with cat inquiries, and they’ve patiently fielded all my concerns.I can’t tell you how much I appreciate their efforts to make my, and I’m sure anyone else’s, experience easier.

The doctors genuinely care about cats. It's also nice that there aren't any dogs, which is less stressful for my nervous kitty

I can give you only one star with my first impression. So my cat feels sick , we checked this clinic with a good star rating and called them to schedule an appointment. If you cat sick today or argent situation - is not an option to get there office- by appointment only . So my fault was I missed with the day , I should come Thursday and I came Wednesday ,all this corona virus around mess with people. So when I arrived the door was closed , I knocked. It’s took them 15 min to someone open the door and ask me why I’m here ? I was still outside on the street with scared cat in my hands , nobody allowed me inside. I told the girl I had an appointment - next she close the door behind my nose and locked it ??? Like really? Did I try to break in or something! Then she open the door and told me no appointment today for me and gives me attitude . I was ready to leave and comeback next day . On the way to my car , she told me don’t bring your cat with out carrier . I told her I don’t have one , then she told me - don’t come here without appointment.Lol , no problem i will not be back and will not recommend that place to any of my friends .

Do not take your cat there if you want it to live. This place is a joke. They wanted to sedate our cat everytime it got a shot. The other two vets didn't. It is another way for them to make money. They also won't let you in exam room with animal. The cat is stressed already and your presence comforts the. They say they only take two emergencies a day. Our new vet saw our cat anytime if they thought it was an emergency. This place is a joke. I was a emergency room vet tech in college in austin texas before going to medical school. We never sedated a animal for a shot and felt owner had a calming effect on the animal in a stressful situation. West palm is a village but deserves a better cat hospital. Also the staff is very rude and I believe aren't cat lovers.

Everyone here is truly amazing! I recently moved to the area and needed a new veterinarian for my 13 year old cat who was receiving insulin for diabetes treatment. Dr Jeff and his entire team treated Romeo with great love and care. I had an extremely thorough initial visit and exam for Romeo with Dr Jeff. He wanted to try a new approach to Romeo's diet to see if it would help manage his diabetes. Over the course of a few weeks Romeo's diabetes went into remission and thus far it has stayed that way. I would have never known that that could be possible to accomplish if it were not for Dr Jeff! Romeo's weight is being better managed as well with the recommendations from Dr Jeff.Romeo receives all of his other regular care here as well and they are always happy to answer my questions, big or small, via phone, email, or text.We are so thankful to have found For Cats Only !

The best experts in feline care. They specialize in cats only. Thus, the name. Dogs and Cats anatomy are not the same! You go to a specialist for yourself. Why not your Cat babies?

I can’t say enough good things about this practice. You know you’re in the right place when the doctor and vet tech all love on your baby. After having a terrible experience at a nearby vet, I decided to switch and take my sick cat to For Cats Only. Not only does Dr. Karpf absolutely adore my cat, she was able to figure out what was wrong with her as well as worked with me for months to figure out the best treatment for my baby and our lifestyle moving forward. Her life has improved dramatically I will never take her anywhere else.

Don't be misled; some of the 5-star ratings contributing to For Cats Only's current rating were for Dr Faigen & his staff, predecessor to the current owners/vets "Dr. J and Dr. S. Karpf." Dr. Faigen gets 5 + stars all day long. The current owners/vets? A (-) 1.My cat treated with Dr. Faigen since she was a yr old. (He was amazing.) When the practice was sold, I rolled along. Underwhelmed by the "bedside" manner of the new owners (to put it mildly), I continued with 4CO primarily b/c the care seemed generally competent & they continued to offer kenneling - which my cat was used to from having stayed frequently during Dr F's time.I then moved to Broward.End of 2022, my (then) senior cat needed ultrasound testing that was surprisingly hard to find. Credit to 4CO for offering that service. I made an appt for 12/20 & though I received (& reviewed) advance material, on the day of the appt I received the same paperwork plus an adhesion contract (i.e., the parties are at disproportionate bargaining powers [meaning 1 is in a stronger position than the other, & in this situation, the stronger party being the vet] which contained an inconsistency.I verbally questioned the disparity and the receptionist told me I had to sign "as is." I did not feel comfortable, explained the reason for my discomfort, crossed-out & initialed some of the inconsistent language, added a further note of clarification, & signed. Dr. S rejected my handiwork & instructed the receptionist to print "clean" pages which I was to sign w/o changes. I refused and ultimately left. (Later getting the ultrasound at an Oakland Park facility.)While I didn't appreciate Dr. S.'s refusal to discuss, much less entertain, the existence of an inconsistency, I don't begrudge her or 4CO that. Her business, therefore her choice. What I do take issue with are her text messages several days later. On the morning of the aborted ultrasound, I also dropped off a stool sample, which was part of the earlier, & previously paid for, CBC & health check package. A day later, I received a text from Dr. S advising that the sample was clear, & requesting my "updated" address to send records because [and I quote] "I think it is best that you find a veterinarian that better meets your personal needs as I don't think we are able to here. Dr. S. Karpf."More than surprised at being "fired" by a vet - especially given the circumstances - I nonetheless took the high road responding [again I quote]: "The email [address] is correct. The pending results of her stool test is all that is needed. Please forward at your earliest opportunity. Thank you. It is unfortunate that my questioning an inconsistency in a form led to the declination of [my cat's] treatment. In any event, best regards to all."My "High Road" email was sent on 12/27/22 at 7:01 PM, only 2 days post-Xmas, and triggered an immediate, automated text reply of "You have reached FOR CATS ONLY. The office is closed [after hours emergency number etc. etc.]." Strangely, after that automated message, followed a second text: "It's not a declination of [your cat's] treatment. It's a declination of a[white space in original]FOR CATS ONLY", ending sans punctuation. It's the 3d text, sent on 12/28/22 at 1:24 AM and hours later, that speaks volumes: "Just do [sic] we are crystal clear what got in the way of [your cat's] treatment was YOU. Dr. S. Karpf." (Caps and typo in original.)In the midst of caring for my 82 year old father in NJ following his surgery, in addition to still unraveling the cause of my ailing cat's health, the 1:24 AM text really went through me. Nonetheless, I was able I bite back the multitude of replies vying to escape my fingers. Which only underscores the concern for a vet practitioner obviously incapable of such self-control. Petty? Perhaps. But petty and "must have the last word" are not h

I brought my precious 20 year old baby to For Cats Only as a new patient with the concern of an oral abscess/ possible cancer. Dr Jeff met with us and was so gentle, caring and thorough. He gave her medication to ease her pain and even texted me several days later to ask me how she was doing. He then took time out of his day to call and ease my mind about the tough decision we ended up having to make. Her cancer progressed very rapidly and we had to goodbye but it helped knowing that Dr Jeff and his staff truly care about their patients and their parents.

You can tell they care about the patient care. Ava has had a dental cleaning and also check ups in office. Highly recommended for anyone with cats : )

My cat has been a patient there of probably at least 6 years. I requested a RX to help my cat relax on the long trip to their office. For whatever reason the RX was not done. When I got to the office I questioned the receptionist. After the work was completed I was told that the Doc wanted to speak to me. He admonished me for speaking to the receptionist "in that way" and told me I woud have to apologize to continue coming to the practice. I am 81 years old and have spent thousands of dollars over the year's and do not want to be admonished like a child.I would not apologize and then his wife got into the act and to me that I was no longer welcome to their office,Who do they think they are talking to a long-time patient in that manner. I have noticed a change in their attitude over the last year and their fees have become outrageous. I think they are both in need of counseling as they are poor business people to treat a client such as I was as well as totally obnoxious. They ought to learn that there in a difference between a client and a receptionist.

I’ve been wanting to come here for some time and I finally got around to it! Let me tell you, the staff is so sweet and so gentle with my baby boy and it was so clean and the environment was so calm, the perfect environment for any cat. I’ve been a cat owner for almost 10 years and the information I was given to help better my fur baby was amazing! I can’t wait to see his health improve and so excited to continue with this office I will definitely be bringing my other fur baby to see Dr. S Karpf!
