I was a walk-in on a mother's Day weekend - place was packed but I was in and out.
I came in after years of neglecting my hair, just had removed a wig install in braids before that... Needless to say my hair was very damaged... They specialize and not just making your hair look beautiful they also specialize in hair care and even give you a quick consultation during your first visit.... This was my first time here and now I am a faithful customer of Karline's Salon.

Consultation gave me ZERO confidence that she had any idea what I was asking for or if she had any ideas or thoughts other than fear of my thin fine hair. The whole thing was sketchy and felt like a fiasco waiting to happen. He said they could only have a vision for my hair if I had a photo to go off of, as opposed to just discussing what to do with my hair instead. It felt complicated and NOT reassuring. They smiled at me as I left, very patronizing and insulting. It was obvious that my business meant NOTHING to them. That's sad.

This woman is THEE NASTIEST and most unprofessional individual that you never want to meet. First off she's definitely paying or offering incentives for these positive reviews because there's no way..... she's also been having the negative reviews deleted.
You can literally see the mental illness in this woman's face. She's NOT an American (which explains a lot) and she can't answer simple questions about her services without loudly berating PAYING customers and going off on a tangent.
Her own hair looks a complete MESS (biggest red flag of all) and nothing about this woman's mannerisms or "skill" indicates 30 years of experience like she claims. There are much better AMERICAN owned businesses within the city- support those instead.

Donāt go here for a relaxer. The stylist does not know how to apply relaxer, ran a comb through a relaxer I had as if she was combing my hair. Be ware they will ruin your hair.Service: Hairstyling

I was a client of this salon for over a year now and when I first started going there the services I received were amazing. The last 2 visits have been nothing close to that. There are random spots in my head where the ends of some of my hair is missing from a previous service. My last visit, I scheduled a treatment and a trim. Towards the end of my service, I almost didnāt receive the trim, for what reason I do not know. Ms. Karline left me with this type of haircut.(picture below) I did end up receiving my service free that day, but I just donāt think that a returning, paying client should have been treated the way I was. I love supporting black owned businesses, but I should be treated with the same respect I give.Service: Haircut
