I unsuccessfully tried to get my Dad’s car out of their car jail. Three different people told me I could use his property power of attorney (POA) but today a foolish employee refused it.
My Dad has been hospitalized for over a month and asked me to take care of this for him.
He signed the POA in 1995 and the notary’s stamp expired in 1997.
She stupidly said the POA expired which is incorrect.
Kauff needs better employee training. She was on the phone with a supervisor asking what to do. Both of them were in the wrong. Every other interaction with a Kauff employee was positive.
She insisted my Dad fill out the form and have it notarized even though he is in the hospital.
Another customer said the hospital should have notaries for patients. Hope she is right.

Dispatch and the driver were very professional. However, they are on the pricier side.

100% if you worry about your car or truck being scratched or damaged-dont. Just call Kauffs and ask for Anthony.
Dont try to save money and mess up your vehicle.

I recently had an experience with this tow yard that I feel compelled to share. The cost structure at this facility is exceptionally high. Not only do you pay for the towing service itself, but you’re also charged to have your vehicle returned, leading to a situation where you're paying multiple times for what should be a straightforward process.
Additionally, the tow yard has very strict closing hours, with minimal flexibility. This, paired with their exorbitant daily fees, makes the entire experience feel even more stressful. In an emergency situation—such as following a car accident—this would certainly not be my first choice. The high costs and rigid scheduling only add to the frustration during an already difficult time.
While the customer service I encountered was decent, it didn’t make up for the overall negative experience. Given that this is a police impound facility, the entire ordeal felt somewhat unethical, as if the system is set up to take advantage of people when they are most vulnerable. It seems to be designed to extract as much money as possible from individuals who are already in a difficult situation.
Overall, I would strongly advise avoiding this tow yard if possible. The combination of high costs, inflexible hours, and the overall sense of exploitation leaves much to be desired.

Although we had trouble getting in the facility on 4701 East Ave; it was a pleasant experience when Jennifer greeted my son and I in such a warm way. She efficiently expedited our business and had us out of there within 10 minutes of entering. Thanks Jennifer 👏🏾

5 stars all around. When my truck had a no start situation, it needed a tow to the dealership. I see the trucks on the road all the time so my first call was to Kauff's. Not only was the wait time less than 15 minutes but the guys that came to my rescue were polite, personable and handled my vehicle with care. Had to hitch a ride with them to the dealership and the conversation between us was hysterical to say the least. Overall Kauff's played a role in taking an unfortunate situation and making it somewhat of a fun adventure. I can't remember the two guys names but I offer my many thanks. Keep up the great work!

Ridicous fees ! My car was towed at 7:00 pm and was paid for/scheuled to be picked up at 2:00 pm the next day and I was charged $389. The City of PGA claimed $130 . So basically the police depaetment gets comission from your accidents. Its a big scam you get into an accident and they tow your card to make money. Never again .
I repeat call your own tow company in PGA / Riveria Beach area.

If I could give them -0 stars I would, they were the nicest people at the time of the car accident my son was involved in, the tow guy was super friendly and kind, a few day after my son needed to get some stuff from the truck he went to the storage place where they had it,,, they were the nastiest, rudest, mean people I’ve ever had to deal with.
