Perplexed on the way they handled my situation, It’s unbelievable. I’ll blame myself for this whole situation by acknowledging that i procrastinated till the last minute to file my taxes, but the scenarios that follow lead to an array of disappointments
Today I drove to 4 H&R Block locations. This was the third one, but on this particular store they did something that made absolutely no sense at all regarding customer service.
I started on the davie location, they didn’t seem to care to see me, and they didn’t have anyone waiting. When I asked if they accepted walking the clerk said “not really” in a lethargic manner. so I drove to plantation. At the plantation store they were pretty busy, but the clerk scheduled an appointment for me at the Weston location. They assured me I would be taken care of at 4:30. I arrived at the Weston store at 4:00pm. Same time as another customer. The clerk couldn’t find my appointment at first, but then when I showed her the confirmation text she saw I was on the system. However I was also scheduled at the same time as the other customer that walked in at the same time I did. The clerk asked if I could come back tomorrow, and I said I couldn’t. I’ll be happy to wait I said. I figured no problem I’ll just hang out, but suddenly the lady that was scheduled at the same time as me didn’t realize she had to go pick up somebody from the dentist. So she had to go, and she left. I’m there thinking I’ll be next with 10 minutes to spare, but no. The tax advisor they had there tried to convince me to come back tomorrow because they wanted to wait for the lady to come back from her errand. I was in shock that he rather waste my time by waiting on someone to come back for an appointment that they technically forfeit. As I’m explaining to him that it doesn’t make sense, and that he doesn’t know her eta from whatever she’s coming from. His nervous demeanor gave me the impression that he’s not willing to help me out, it was a roller coaster of emotions from this guy. At the end I just followed my gut and walked out. The whole situation felt awkward and unnecessary. Didn’t seem like i would be treated like a customer, but rather as an unpleasant task. My negative experience didn’t end at this store either. The Pembroke Pines location disappointed me as well. Wasting my entire day, but that’s another story. Perhaps I’ll have to learn to file my taxes for myself from now on. Can’t depend on people these days.

Sometimes, we encounter situations that lead us to question the overall mood of the universe. This year, I decided to try a new location for filing my tax return and managed to secure an appointment with someone who appeared to be new to the job. We’ve all experienced our first day at work, and given the level of supervision they were receiving, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and remained at the appointment. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a poor decision on my part. What should have been a 45-minute appointment stretched into nearly three hours, culminating in a charge of $345 for a fairly straightforward tax return. To add to the frustration, there was a simple error in my paperwork that I ended up having to resolve on my own because the situation had already spiraled out of control, and they were unable to correct it. Furthermore, there was no refund offered for the mistake they had made. In light of this experience, I've resolved to handle my own paperwork moving forward. I wish nothing but the best for future clients who seek their services.

Leslie was amazing! I had 4 years of taxes to do and she was so helpful and friendly it helped with my stress! Great value for the amount charged. Definitely using H&R Block every year from now on!

They do not stand behind their work unless you pay them an extra fee. I was never advised of the extra fee and my new tax preparer found an error. Now I am subject to a penalty plus interest from the IRS. Do not use this office.
