Seriously, this is one of the best-looking, well-stocked, and cleanest stores around! Props to the management and staff.

Wednesday afternoon, I witnessed the surly female cashier insulting a customer. The customer rightfully cancelled her numerous purchases and left the store.

Horrible experience. Possibly the worst DG I have ever been in. The Management/Managers do NOT know what they are doing, and they are extremely rude and disrespectful. They rang my purchase up wrong and it took 2 trips back, and contacting corporate to rectify. Which let me mention that Corporate after I proved I was right and the purchase was rang wrong said they were sending me a refund, which I have yet to receive, and it's been more than adequate time. 3 managers (or they said they were) were all talking at one time, some. None willing to let me explain, because they all knew they were right. Now let me add here what transpired was via a purchase on my medical insurance card allotment. Which I have since found out that DG has had an ongoing issue with this for quite sometime, and my insurance informed me they have many complaints against DG for this exact thing. That alone "IF" you had properly trained management you would think they would be aware and listen to, and work with you, etc. Not argue and repeatedly all 3 tell you that you are wrong and "just don't understand". Which seeing as to how I proved I was right, one has to ask - who was actually wrong and "didn't understand". Now I had to handle all this alone (a disabled senior on oxygen) by going to the store due to the fact that the District Manager who I contacted never did anything to resolve the matter, or even address it. Now to prove my point they had to ring up an item (just to see how it rang up) then expected me to purchase it, which was quite frustrating. So the "Gentleman" whom I dealt with at corporate said I showed signs of aggression on the video. Yet no audio and had no idea what the employee(s)/"manager(s)" were saying to me...WOW HUH. So then still with nothing resolved and me doing nothing aggressive or using abusive language (remember, disabled and on oxygen so you know I had to appear threatening and intimidating. Also the Male of the 3 employee/managers did try to tough guy me which I was humored at) I get told to leave which I immediately complied and said nothing more, headed for the door. One of the Female employee/managers called me a "Dumbass" on my way out, and I am now trespassed from this DG...It's all a matter of principle and is why I originally chose to inform them things were ringing up wrong. I'm sure if I wanted I could probably find another DG, and the money wasn't that much. If DG can live with it I can live without it. Not even so much as an apology letter/message/email/ text or anything for the wrong on their end.

Several years ago I had gone to a different dollar general store where the manager Brenda was working. During my visit I was treated very badly and Brenda refused to accept my coupon. As that is against the store policy I called customer service. The district manager at the time informed me that he was sorry about the way she treated me, and that she doesn't read and speak English very well, and she should and will take coupons in the future. I thought the situation was finished until Brenda had her boyfriend stock and threaten me. When I notified the district manager I was told they were both fired. A couple years later I seen that Brenda was working for Dollar General again!
July 2024: During my shopping trip as I approached the register I noticed the male cashier yelling at and insulting a lady who was being cashed out. As she finished paying and I approached the register the employee then began talking bad about the lady to me. After he rang up all my merchandise I entered my phone number in and it took off my digital coupons except one for one of them for $3. I showed him my app that showed it was attached to the products. He told me that he could not do anything now, if I payed for the stuff he can credit me for the coupon after. It didn't make sense but I followed his instructions. After I payed he asked again to see the coupon, and looked at my receipt for a couple minutes. Then an old lady employee came to help him. She said there is nothing she could do. So I told them I want to return everything. I let the other people that were in line go ahead of me, when I got back to the register, I put my products on the counter for her to return, and being the polite customer that I am, i returned 5 of the 6 12 packs of soda to the back of the store where I got them from. I assumed she would be done with the return when I got back to the register. I was wrong. When I got back to the register, she asked me for my id, ran it in the register but she would not give me my money back. She called the manager Brenda on the phone and was yelling, insulting and threatening me the entire time. Then she walked away from the register told the other employee to go back and get all the products he just returned to the shelf that I had tried to return, and was telling Brenda on the phone that she is not returning my products and I can take the products. Both the employees refused to explain to me what was going on, left my cart in front of the door and threatened to call the police if u didn't take my stuff and leave. Very confused I took the cart, when I was loading it in my car I noticed they had broke the boxes of the soda so when I picked them up they broke in half, also it looked like they stabbed one of the boxes with a knife. And to make it worse both of the employees followed me out of the store, leaving multiple customers inside waiting to be cashed out, I assume to watch all of the boxes break on me, and was threatening and recording me on her cell phone across the parking lot. Florida law states I have 7 days to return something with the original receipt. Since she already returned the products but did not give me my money I was not able to even attempt to return them to a different store. I contacted the Better Business Bureau for help. I was eventually contacted by someone named Demetri who said he was the district manager. He informed me he was authorized by his supervisor to mail me a gift card for my troubles. It has been over a month and I still have not received it!
CUSTOMERS BEWARE Dollar General knows how these employees are treating people and breaking laws and policies but they DO NOT CARE!!!!! And to make it worse, they know and rehire "BAD EGGS" so she can teach other employees her bad habits.

We got there about 3am for a Penny Sale. About 4am a manager arrived and several employees who promptly removed 99% of the clearance items and took them to a back room. When the doors opened at 8 about 30 people expecting deals found empty shelves. One employee stood in front of the store room door as to guard it the entire time. I contacted Dollar General via E Mail and phone to complain and have gotten No Response. This is Poor customer relations and dirty pool to remove items obviously as that the employees could get them. Some of these people were there all night and some drove many miles to get there. Shame on you Dollar General.
