Firstly, the prices are great, with a new and fresh variety of merchandise a best kept secret. The staff and volunteers are kind, and helpful, cheerful and welcoming to all who shop there. Alan’s easygoing demeanor was very chill.SPECIAL THANK YOU to SUZZIE for warmth and compassion. Jonah and me go over sometimes just to say Hello. Jonah just loves the treats and extra attention. SUZZIE you’re the Best. You mean a great deal to us. Thank You!!!! ?

The Palm Aire location of Poverello is GREAT. The people that work there are Super Nice and the place is always clean and well organized. But let me reiterate about how great the staff at this branch of Poverello are: Just Super People.Prices are affordable and the stock changes enough to make a weekly stop by well worth it.

This has to be one of the most overpriced thrift stores for clothes that i have EVER BEEN TO. Even the furniture was very expensive . Won’t ever be back and don’t recommend

I am sure they help the community and serve the needs of the less fortunate. However, I am rating them based their volunteer policies. I picked up an application hoping to donate my time to help out in the thrift store. To my surprise, they require volunteers to show proof of Covid vaccination. I don't understand why they would force someone to be vaccinated before helping out. The medical evidence proves the vaccine does not prevent the spread of Covid, and, in fact, is responsible for thousands of deaths and serious health issues to those who were vaccinated. They need to change their policies.

All the Fresh Food Ingredients provided by Poverello has changed my life ! The Love & Compassion being served at Poverello by Dave , Liz and the Staff has Enriched My Life and continues causing a vast Ripple Effect. Dave selflessly attending to us in need and the manner in which he provides the groceries definitely adds a great vibratory elevation to the nutritional value. Love is in the( Air )FOOD!! LIZ is a Darling She is always sharing knowledge, Liz teaches me how to order , alerts me to cooking classes ect. and is genuinely comforting. Liz makes sure everything runs smoothly She is a Professional and a Protector .You are ALL Deeply Appreciated!! Sincerely, Claudia HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

For those of you who donate, particularly clothes, to Poverello, I want you thank you for your helping those of us in need; however, Poverello is not making your donation available to intended recipients. I want to share an experience I had today when I went into the Thrift Store today.I went to Poverellos today looking for a light jacket to wear as night times are getting cooler than normal. To my shock there wasn't ONE jacket available for purchase in the "Thrift" store selection, yet there were dozens upon dozens jackets available in their highly priced "boutique" section. So the next time it is cold outside and feel good about donating clothes to the needy please know a long time survivor of HIV/AIDS, or someone similarly situated could have used your help and did not receive your donation.Again, I thank you for kindness for wanting to donate, but Poverello is seeking big $$$ for your donation and no longer cares about those of us in the community it once seeved.

They definitely research the brands they sell. They up-charge name brand clothing regardless of the condition. Not a place for bargains. More like discounted retail.

This looks like a really impressive thrift store. The selection is varied and seems to be of excellent quality. I only dropped off a donation so I can't judge the sales experience, but the staff taking in my items was very friendly and professional. Great place!

No frills but great deals on furniture, found a beautiful hardwood dining set - table AND 4 chairs - for $45 during their half-off Labor Day sale. May be my best thrift store find ever! The staff were super friendly and helpful, too.

I highly recommend this thrift store! I've been shopping here for years, and always find great housewares & furniture as well as books. Even HalIOwen & Christmas decorations. I relocated from NJ & found everything I needed to start over. Staff has always been polite & helpful.

Definitely don't recommend!! me and my friend are huge thrifters and a mutual friend brought us to this thrift store the second we walked in the two ladies working there behind the counter said "watch this one w her bag" I guess insinuating my girlfriend was going to steal because she had a miniature backpack and was holding a baby, the backpack was too small to fit any of the junk in that store into her backpack she clearly was racial profiling my friend because she was of color-based category. definitely will never go back there I refused to buy anything because of that incident. I felt so disrespected and they weren't even speaking about me but my friend.
