If you're like me, the first thing you want in the morning is a nice cup of coffee. On rare occasions where you wake up and realize you have no coffee in your cabinets, you begin to push the panic button. Alas, The Metropolitan has come to the rescue with their high tech dispenser of coffee, espresso, hot coffee and latte. This is only one of the amenities offered here at The Metropolitan. I have lived here for six months and have found the office staff very friendly, professional and accommodating. The maintenance crew , when needed are professional and considerate if necessary to enter into your apartment. The development, management staff encourage socializing and provide themed parties during certain times of the year thus cultivating new friends within the community. The swimming pool, bbq and cabanas are the hot spot for weekends and holidays. A great community, within walking distance to the Drive and other nearby popular places. Kudos to everyone at The Metropolitan for making living at their property a whole lotta fun!!

I'm a current resident of Metro, and this place really is adorable. It's comfortable, it has a top of the line interior architecture, nice people overall, great facilities, and the administration staff is amazing. We really have great maintenance. Oh, and its close to Wilton Drive so we don't have to drive to go to bars, we just walk out and are there in 5 mins, literally.

Moving into ‘The Metro’ has been an excellent decision. Rental communities can be tough because they are very good at putting their best foot forward and once you become a resident, the storyline shifts and what surfaces are faulty appliances, leaks, dirty pool, spotty elevator operation, paper thin walls, a management company that doesn’t care and/or tries to blame on you for problems etc., etc.. We’ve all been there. The Wilton Metropolitan management team has been consistent from the moment I was greeted at the leasing office. I have lived here for three years and they have maintained an exceptionally high level of professionalism, service maintenance, responsiveness, accessibility, friendliness and more. I have yet to come across a better run facility. I am comfortable in calling this place home and recommending it to anyone. The units themselves are excellent living spaces, good appliances, good storage, are well built (I can’t recall the last time I heard any of my neighbors), energy efficient and well maintained. Then there are the facilities: The gym – small/medium sized, high quality equipment (so you can get a decent work out), always clean and everything always works. The pool/hot tub – Relaxing, the cabanas & chairs are put back in order every day, nothing is worn out, the pool & hot tub are always clean and well maintained. Bar-b-cue area – It’s part of the pool. There are three grills, outdoor sink, gas doesn’t run out, clean facility etc.. Conference Room – Stylish, useful, it’s free, full kitchen attached. Onsite there are two large pup-parks, again, well maintained. Parking is never an issue and if need be you can rent a garage (I have one to keep my car out of the sun).Nothing is infallible, hence things break. Since I’ve lived here the pool pump failed once….it was fixed the following day. The handle on my microwave broke, fixed within 36hrs of sending the maintenance request. The grounds & pup park are very well maintained. The culture of the community is super friendly, I think a lot of that is down to the management team as they set a good tempo.Sure, you can go more lux, I’ve looked into it and discovered ‘The Metro’ hits a sweet spot for it’s privacy & peacefulness yet walking distance from everything, there’s plenty of parking, it’s not just pet friendly but pet-responsible, great amenities and much more.People regularly ask me about the train. Yes, the trains are loud, some can be really LOUD, but It’s a non-issue as the apartments are well insulated. I live in a 3 bed that is one unit deep from the tracks and my bedroom, living room and balcony face the tracks, the train noise is barely audible. If you want to hear it, you will have to listen for it. Also, there is zero vibration from the tracks.

The noise level here is excessive. Loud club music plays at the pool from early morning til late night, although it is supposed to be off by 7pm. Dogs are in the pool area every weekend and they are not supposed to be. The property is supposed to be smoke free, but our neighbors smoke on their patios, at the pool and at the entrance to the gym. There are junked cars and buses in the parking lot and alarm panels that malfunction and beep for days before management addresses them. The residents do not follow the rules for valet trash pick up. There is no valet service on the weekends and they just pile their trash up outside their apartment doors from Friday til Sunday, so we have to walk by trash piles to get to our apartment. Management leases the gym to trainers who train clients that don't live here, so the gym is always full of NON residents and trainers. I would not recommend this property if you are looking for a nice apartment home.

We moved from here almost two years ago. Unfortunately, with a job transfer out of Florida, it's taken me this long to write a review. We really can't say enough of this place. It's clean, so well-maintained (they actually have a schedule to clean the inside of the trash shoots), and the staff in office as well as maintenance all are so very pleasant. The amenities are better than most in the area. This place is walkable to the main drive where all the bars, shops, and restaurants are located. If you need an apartment in the Wilton Manors, Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park area, you should definitely consider this place.

I did enjoy living there however, I am disappointed that they charged me for the carpet replacement even though, I only used steps on the left side on the carpet in the bedroom area and I remembered the maintenance supervisor, Alexy did take a picture of it during walk in inspection. :(. This community do provide social events almost every months. The leasing agents are very nice and friendly and they also wonderful team. Thanks for sending me the security deposit refund. I am really appreciating. :)

We moved in a few weeks ago. So I realize that it's early yet. But, first impressions are everything. I am very pleased with this building, particularly the amenities and how well they are cared for. The apartment is beautiful and quite spacious. We have a two bedroom two bathroom and it is great for roommates because the bedrooms are separate, providing plenty of privacy. The location is perfect. You can walk to just about anything you want to, but tucked away just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the drive. Yes this is not one of the brand new ultra modern places that are being built around town. The kitchens and bathrooms are slightly dated. But, for me, with those other buildings, the value proposition simply isn't there. If you're looking for a great place to live with wonderful neighbors and excellent property management, stop scrolling.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I've lived here for 3 years and have absolutely loved it. I've lived in many apartments over the last 10 years and Wilton Metropolitan is my absolute favorite. The grounds are well kept, the gym is spacious, super nice, and always clean, the apartment units are very nice and all have modern appliances, there are multiple dog parks, everyone that lives here is super friendly and welcoming. Most importantly though, the staff that runs this place is top notch! The ladies in the front office and the maintenance crew are all amazing and go above and beyond to take care of everyone. They're professional and courteous and you can tell that they truly care about this place and that they love their jobs. They respond immediately to any concerns or maintenance issues you have. The complex is conveniently located to so many things and within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc. plus the complex is always hosting events at the pool. I can not recommend Wilton Metropolitan enough! If I wasn't relocating for work than I would stay here for another 3+ years!

Beautiful pool, clubhouse, but the architecture and interior apartments are ordinary. On the property, there are several dog parks, both on-leash and off-leash, which are well-used. There are even steady groups that become social groups. Progressive dinners and real social groups also are available.I think Wilton Metropolitan is a good place to retire given all the amenities included.

I moved out of Metropolitan a few years back and it is still one of the best apartment homes that I have lived in. Christan was a joy to work with and she always handled our concerns with understanding and kindness. The leasing process was smooth and professional and everything felt handled. The apartments look beautiful on the inside and outside, and if you have an issue, maintenance requests are easy to submit and they address it right away for any emergencies or let you know when it can be looked at. The amenities are well taken care of and I personally didn't like the valet trash service (I chose to just take out trash myself). The trash chute was always operable and the recycling room can get full at times due to how trash pick ups work, but I always had space for my cardboard. At one point maintenance had entered without permission when he responded to a request and we were alarmed because we were home sleeping. No knock or anything. We immediately notified Christan who listened to our concerns and immediately took action to make sure maintenance does not do this again. Move out was easy and we ended up needing to stay a day later and we were allowed to rent an additional day. We expected a cleaning bill because we ended up leaving in a hurry and didn't have time to clean it thoroughly. We were charged final utilities, which is the norm and stated in the lease. Additional cleaning items were detailed and it was around $300 which is reasonable for a 2 bedroom clean + carpet cleaning. Years later, I went into property management myself and looking back, this is one of the best management companies I have leased with. Noise complaints that we brought to the office were handled quickly. We had an enjoyable and peaceful time living here. There were almost weekly events where we could know our community and management team more, and it's clear that they put a lot of time and money into these events. This is the luxury apartment where LGBT+ people are treated fairly and welcomed warmly, a rare sight in South Florida, which is unfortunate. As a queer couple, we didn't receive any hostility or surprise that my partner and I were renting here. Everyone treated us with respect and friendliness. I would gladly rent here again if we were still in the area. It's clear that management puts in a lot of money and effort into this property, and even though the rent has gone up since we lived here about 4 years ago, it is worth the price for a safe and gated home with fabulous amenities. The staff is always reachable, even through text!

I’ve been at Metropolitian about a year now. Man everything is great. Walking distance to several cute shops. Friendly and courteous neighbors. Great staff, especially maintaining the property and the units.

I inquired twice by email to have someone call me as I have friends who live here and love it. Noone ever contacted me so I just assume they don't care or want my business.
