Let me start of by saying we were in need of a large suv to pickup family from the airport came here on a Saturday to pick up a large suv but was told it was not available but offer to give us a very nice 2023 Jeep grand Cherokee l 3 rows very nice and luxurious and gave us a great deal we couldn’t say no and keep in mind this our first time renting from hertz and will definitely be back soon for all my needs anyone plesse don’t let the comments fool you guys because I came and was impress with top quality service and helpful and honest these guys are

Worst customer service I’ve ever had on a rental. Car smelled like a cigarette. Dings everywhere. Now $220 to modify the drop off location - 1.5 hrs away??Found this out after spending an hour on 2 phone calls to the 1800 # with rude reps after my rental record # could not be found using their website OR APP.I’ll never rent Hertz again

If I could leave to stars I would!! I came in under a insurance claim they put me in a Kia soul when my reservation was for a large suvBut was given a Kia that gave memultiple problems I tried to switch the car twice and they kept saying they didn’t have any vehicles well the next day the car broke down in the middle of the highway and I was stranded with my kids that couldn’t make it to school due to this unsafe rental that was provided to me from this location I was on the side of the road for hours with two two year olds and was advised that I had to wait on the tow people to arrive before leaving.. don’t rent from this location or hertz.

Worst rental experience I have ever had reserved a car through insurance the gave me a car with bad rear brakes in desperate need of alignment and a damaged rim that started leaking on us after the bead de seated. This morning after dealing with this another tire tire has gone flat same issue on the back of the rim where we couldn't see it on pickup. And to top it all off the dash lights are flickering now. And I got a message that the car is 3k miles over due for an oil change. Will not be using hertz ever again and will not ever recommend them to anyone.

The Hertz at the Winter Haven airport is worthless. I had an 8:00am appt this morning to pick up a car. They called at 7:45 this am to let me know that they won't have any cars until 11. I have to be at a meeting in Tampa at 10. Why didn't you call yesterday to let me know so I could make another arrangements? I will never deal with you people again as you are very unprofessional and don't have a clue how to run a business!

Worst rental ever! This would have been a convenient location but I will never return or do any business with Hertz! Vehicle smelled like a vintage ash tray! Gave me headaches. Fuel in tank was overestimated by the person checking me in. Trying to get me to return it more full then it was or get charged! Tried to strongarm me into additional insurance. Returned it today and told them about the smoke and he told me they have to rent them out like that. I asked well how do you know if it was me or the 4 people before? Also why charge $400 smoking charge but not get the vehicle fixed and smelling free of carcinogens! This sounds like fraud! You charge someone because they didn’t listen to rule and return the vehicle smoked in but you don’t correct it? What if I had kids? Awful experience all the way around. Learned my lesson! Won’t be return here or another Hertz location in the future. I had family coming for Xmas and already canceled those reservations. Go with another location at least and screw Hertz! They did nothing to fix the problem!

Not only did I put way more gas in it then when I got the car but but also did there job and Cleaned it before returning it I say there job because there was cigarette butts in there had they cleaned it wasn't hard to notice... Mike charged me a extra 160 buck and refused to do anything about it... hertz is a joke I will no longer be going there. Mike at the winter haven located was disrespect idk why he's still got the job there. Either way not my problem. Not getting my business anymore...

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. Terrible customer service. They left my wife stranded without a vehicle after they would not accept a prepaid reservation made with an affirm loan from which hertz partners with. They demanded the cost of the car plus a $500 deposit. Branch manager completely unhelpful. We decided to we had no choice and called customer service to change the payment method on our reservation. Once she got back to the counter she was told they canceled it because they couldn't do a same day reservation with a debit card eventhough we booked weeks in advance. Then shortly after offered her another car for $50 more for the week and SOMEHOW miraculously able to process it on a debit card. STAY AWAY.

After being Exceptionally rude to my Insurance company whom rented me a vehicle here for a Accident replacement, THIS location told me to "get myself over there," you know, the car wreck and undrivable vehicle meant Nothing to them. So I get there and pick up Another vehicle, as they rented out the vehicle I selected And reserved, why not, it was sitting for a whole day, paid for. So after picking this up and going to work, I come out after 8 hours of pouring cement in 95 degree heat to get a cold bottle of water from my car and its FULL OF ROACHES. Big ones, little just born ones, all kinds and colors. GREAT. Now roadside service cared a Lot, this Winter Haven Airport location? COULD NOT CARE LESS AND TOLD ME TO DRIVE IT BACK OR THEY COULD NOT HELP ME. They apparently have a problem Understanding English and the Problem in front of them.NEVER GO HERE, they are RUDE, Could not CARE AT ALL about the customer and seem offended to actually have to do Anything at all. Customers are a BOTHER to them, so help them out and just DONT GO THERE, go ANYwhere other than Here.

I reserved a pre-paid rental more than 48 hours out. With less than 24 hours from when I was to pickup I was informed that there would be no car available. Not just that the car I had already paid for wasn’t available, that’s somewhat understandable, but that no car was available. To top it all off the person who contacted me was rude and didn’t seem to care that he was leaving me stuck. I had to pay almost double to get a last minute rental from Enterprise but they were at least very pleasant and accommodating. As a Hertz Gold Plus member I found this completely unacceptable. Furthermore I got no accommodation by contacting the corporate customer service. They acted like they did something by simply refunding exactly what I paid. After going back and forth with a few emails they offered me a $50 credit towards a future rental. This didn’t even cover half of what I had to pay in excess of what I’d already paid them. I told them to keep there credit as I would be taking my future business to their competitors.

Rented a Car to Drive to NYC (March 2023)for my Grandmother's funeral, from the start I was emotionally drained. When went to pay I had an issue with my card, had to get on the phone with my bank. The representative that helped us, was so understanding and patient he worked with us till I was able to resolve my banking issues. THANK YOU MARLON for your help and for providing excellent customer service ?

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT I'M VERY HAPPY THAT I GOT HELP FROM VERY GOOD PEOPLE I'M GETTING MY CAR... I WILL CONTINUE TO GO BACK TO HURTS IF I NEED ANOTHER VEHICLE.. THE ONLY THING I WISH WITH CHANGES THAT I DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE $500 IN THE BANK, FOR A CAR THAT I RENTED THAT COST ME $224.. IF I DID NOT HAVE THE $500 THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BAD BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE HAD A VEHICLE TO GET AROUND BUT THOSE ARE THE RULES... I DON'T HAVE BIG HIGH-CLASS CARDS SUCH AS CARDS OTHER THAN MY BANK CARDS BUT... I CONSIDER MY BANK CARDS GOOD I MEAN THAT IS MY BANK AND MY MONEY WOULD BE IN THERE.. $200 COMPARED TO $500 IS A LOT BETTER FOR ME TO AFFORD TO GET A CAR TO RENT.. BUT THOSE ARE THE RULES.. THE GUY THERE WAS VERY NICE AND VERY HELPFUL AND VERY UNDERSTANDING.. I TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT MY REVIEWS.. AND I'M OKAY BECAUSE I WAS ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO GET MY CAR RENTAL .. YOU SEE MY REAL CAR IS GOING TO BE IN THE SHOP SOON AND I NEEDED ONE TO TAKE MY GRANDKID TO SCHOOL AND ME TO WORK.. THANK YOU VERY GLAD I COULD BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT
