Best GameStop I've been to since moving to the area. Employee had an actual brain and focused on what would make me happy. Will come back despite it being rather far from me and multiple closer locations.

my journey began by trading in 2 games for in store credit. the cashier gave me $29 on an “in store credit card,” and then let me know that he didn’t have super mario wonder in stock. ok, kind of annoying that he didn’t tell me that until AFTER i traded in my games, but no biggie. so who has it? he looks in his system and finds a few stores that have it. so can he just call them and have them hold it for me until i get there? no. he explains that “either they’re super busy, or they’re phones are down.” the phones are “down?” ok that’s kinda weird and doesn’t seem normal for a massive retail chain. this isn’t the post office here, this is a publicly traded company. ok so my only options are to drive to the stores that he claims have the game. there’s no guarantee they’ll actually have it when i get there, but i have no choice anymore because i already traded in my games for in store credit, which means i’m pot committed to buying the game at gamestop. so i drive to the first store, but they don’t have it. i drive to the 2nd store, but they don’t have it. so what gives? the cashier at the 2nd store says “oh yeah, our inventory system doesn’t really update and reflect availability accurately, so you really have to call ahead and have them hold it for you before you drive there.” unfortunately, that’s not an option because the stores i’m calling won’t pick up the phone. ok so finally i get through to this store on University blvd in Winter Park. the cashier says he has it in stock! and he’s going to hold it for me until i get there. i start to give him my name and information so he can hold the product for me - but he cuts me off and says “nah it’s ok man i’ll remember you, i gotchu.” ok…? that makes me a little nervous, but he’s the gamestop guy - he knows what he’s doing, he’s sold a game or 2. so i start driving to this store… it’s an hour away in bad traffic, so it’s a pretty annoying drive… but hey i’ve got no other options because i absolutely have to use the in-store credit. so i finally get to the store, and the cashier says she doesn’t have it anymore. she says they “shipped it away.” WHAT?! i explain that that’s not possible, because i literally just called like an hour and 15 minutes ago and had them hold it for me. there’s only two cashiers there, so i ask which one said he’d hold it for me? neither of them answer. so i ask again with a little more urgency and pressure. the 2nd cashier confesses “oh yeah… i was the one that said i’d hold it for you. but that was like an hour ago so i didn’t think you were coming.” he didn’t think i was coming. he. didn’t. think. i. was. coming. because it took me an hour. this one sentence has continued to befuddle me and shake my faith in the general competence of human thought.

Terrible customer service. First walk into the store and the entire place smelled like weed. Doesn’t help that it’s next to a marijuana dispensary. AND, the store manager/associate was definitely high with tinted John Lennon glasses on.Found the gaming headset we wanted with the price tag on the box as $99.99. When she rang it up, she charged us $119.99. She immediately started pulling off the price sticker. I mentioned that it was $99.99 and she said that it was a sale from Thanksgiving (over 4 weeks ago) and she couldn’t honor it. I mentioned that that would be false advertising, and it should be honored at the $99.99 price. I asked to speak with a manager and she said that would be her. She was calm, but not helpful AT ALL and had zero desire to give me the price that was literally stuck to the box!We will never shop at this Game Stop again. After reading many other reviews, it sounds like this is the norm for this location.

Worst GameStop experience I’ve ever had in 15 years of gaming, “CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED” used to mean something but I guess GameStop doesn’t care about quality control anymore because when I got my $460 USED PS5 home to set it up no games would play it just kept crashing or freezing as soon as I would start a game. I called PlayStation support 2 nights in a row to troubleshoot and nothing worked. Finally I go to return the item thinking they will at least give me a store credit for the inconvenience of selling me basically a $500 fire stick (assuming it would even run Netflix without crashing I didn’t try) the manager Rosa all but told me to kick rocks and the only thing she could do was give me another used PS5 with no guarantee it would actually work or a refund.Worst customer service ever and didn’t help she was wearing a mask and sunglasses so the only apology I got was a few shoulder shrugs.

I called on the phone asking how to trade in Xbox one for a for a Series S controller and was sent away saying that I needed more items than what I was told over the phone. I got everything settled with a different Game stop thankfully

It’s gone down hill and they force you to buy things you you don’t need and try to cash in your points when you are not asking them to.

I am normally happy with this location until today. I had previously ordered a game and was advised it had came in, they just could not hand it out. Day of release I stood for an hour in the store trying to get an idea of where the shipment has been because this is a collectors edition and it's not easy to come by. Come to find out after management arrived it was not delivered yet as it was still in transit. I got two different stories and I'm dissatisfied. Trying to locate a copy to have it shipped to the store for the inconvenience, no one seems to pick up their phone.

Bought a PS5 and they forced me to buy a controller with it claiming it was a bundle. The controller was full price and a separate line item on the purchase. Nothing on the receipt given to me says it is bundled with the PS5 at all and its even its own line item with the extra coverage denied. When trying to return the controller I was told they couldn't give me my money back even though the receipt states all unopened items in its original packaging can be returned within 15 days. This store doesn't honor the Gamestop return policy written on the receipt and will try to keep your money. Don't go to this store if you ever wanted to have an easy time returning brand new items. They will just claim its a bundle and steal from you. Its sad as both the employees who helped me were great. But the store leadership is to blame for this blatant ignoring of their corporates own return policy.

Went here to get Pokemon cards was greeted in store kindly when I walked. Not sure if the other employee who checked me out was just socially awkward or just extremely judgemental. He did not seem enthusiastic about my purchase what so ever and basically ignored me when I told him to have a good day and thanks for helping me out. Made me feel not welcome and I wont be returning to this location. You got one job and its to make the customers experience good so they come back. Its not hard to be polite.I dont undestand how people like this get hired to work at Gamestop. I curious if he would have treated me the same way if I bought CALL of DUTY instead of Pokemon.. whatever it was the vibe was just weird.

Breanna is truly a gem to this company, and made this store worth going to, she always made shopping for a game fun, and she became more than just a GameStop associate, but eventually I came to consider her a friend. No matter how busy the store was, Breanna will always find time to answer the phone and answer any question I had. Only reason I can't give this store 5 stars is because the other staff aren't as great, and my wife and I were usually disappointed when we didn't see Bri just cause we knew it wouldn't be the same experience she usually provides when a customer walks in. I no longer can be coming to this GameStop because I have moved but Breanna left a lasting impression that will last forever, and it makes me wish GameStop had more like her.
