Working with South State has been an absolute NIGHTMARE!! Sure, when they wanted our business to close on our 2nd house it was smooth sailing but to get an appraisal has literally left me feeling like I've been through hell and back! I started this process back in June of 2022, it is now Novemeber of 2022 and NOTHING has been resolved. They took my money for the appraisal back in July but have not scheduled the appraisal. After constant back and forth over the phone and via email over the last 5 months, I still have no completed appraisal or my money back. It is safe to say we will not be using South State for our next investment property.

Excellent Staff. Branch manager is amazing. Aside from being super sweet and beautiful, she's one of the sharpest people I've ever met in banking. Go in and ask for the BM; you'll be glad you did.

people are nice. worst banking experience I have ever had! Money does not come through for days....passwords reset on their own anf thor is noone to help when you call. I.will notdo TINY banking again. so small..its Tiny.

They make login so difficult to remember your user login and password with their requirements and they don't have a 24/7 phone or online support, what a pain.
