Great market to visit in Winter Park on a Saturday.Lots of food stalls, flower stalls, locally made spices, jams, and honey. I have been here a good number of times and always leave with a smile on my face. There is parking, however it does get busy so definitely worth getting here earlier than later. Yesterday the weather was perfect for a walk around this area, feeling in the festive spirit now!

This place has everything you could want! Fruits and veggies, greens, honey, and they used to have a knife sharpening guy...Is he still there? Great for families to experience!

The location moved and the vendors changed. We went to buy local vegetables there and the prices were outrageous. There are other organic options a couple of minutes ago with much more affordable produce. We got pickles which was nice but the options weren't anything to brag about.

Had a blast at the Saturday farmers market. Many different vendors and new things to try, from locally grown produce to fresh kettle corn! Everyone is very friendly and pups are welcome.

The family loves visiting this farmers market. It had been a long time since we have been able to go. I love all of the vendors and wide selection of produce, flowers, jerky, hot sauces and coffee. Kettle Corn and Jerky is a must for our kids and it is fun to snack on while walking around the market or going over to the park / avenue.

Get here no later than 9:20 if you want to find good parking! This is a favorite spot to go with foodie friends from out of town. We usually buy some of the fancy mushrooms and exotic greens we want to explore. They have it all, from coffee to jerky to pickles and everything in between.Bring a bag to carry all your goods and a cooler for your stuff if you'd like to explore Park Ave before you go back home.

Recently revisited this farmers market at its new location. We noticed fewer vendors. Otherwise, still a very good farmers market. However, arrive early to acquire variety of produce or you'll miss out for sure!

The winter park farmers market is one of my favorite local attractions in Central Florida. There is so much that that the market has to offer. It is the perfect family activity for a Saturday morning. Be sure to account for the extra time you will need to find parking. However, the walk to your car will be filled with great shops and beautiful streets. It's a great place to go for a stroll.

I haven't been to the WP Farmers market in years and we decided to go today. We popped in the directions to go to our old usual place and when we got there, there was nothing there! The Winter Park farmers market had moved and the old spot had no signage at all. While we were standing there scratching our heads, several other groups of people showed up to the same location with the same dilemma. If within 5 min, you have 12 lost people trying to find your event, there's an issue. I went to the FB page and found the new location which was a 4 min walk further down the road. The space was loads bigger and much more spread out. We were some hungry peeps so my daughter headed over to The Bearded Vegan who had some of the tastiest spinach patties we ever did taste! She had to go back and get another one to scarf down. Amazing flavor! I was looking for a refreshing drink and found that at Lentils. I would have lived to tried his Indian Food but he was sold out. Luckily, he was still able to make me fresh mint lemonade with black salt. He even let me customize the sweetness! This was a very delicious drink. I could taste the freshness! Rosarios Kitchen came through with the empanadas! They were fried fresh and piping hot and crispy. We had both the beef and the chicken. The were both amazing but the chicken was my fave. My son got chicken nuggets from there too. We were amazed that the nuggets were homemade. He said they were the best nuggets he'd ever had! Best nuggets !! Wh n Nthjnknof all the nuggets this child has devotion his 12 years.. that's saying a lot! We got some amazing plants for really great prices there too! Gorgeous and economical! The bonus was the 99 year old gentleman that helped us. He was super cute and it was nice to chat with him. God Bless him. My daughter got some really nice heirloom tomatoes from a hydroponic grower and they were delicious. There were lots of vendors we weren't able to fit in but it was a day we'll spent. We'll be back soon.

The first Winter Park Farmers Market opened on May 19th, 1979. It was held in the old freight depot and the surrounding property located along New York and Lyman Avenues. This property was initially purchased by Winter Park in 1977. They were going to tear down the historic depot and create a downtown parking lot but before the building was destroyed, City Commissioner Jerome Donnally suggested that instead it could be used to host a farmers market on Saturdays. Winter Park residents could gather to purchase farm fresh fruits and vegetables while fostering a sense of community and attracting business to the downtown area. On the first day of the market 10,000 people showed up to shop 12 vendors. Since that day people have continued to show up every Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM to shop the expanded market which includes flowers, plants, cakes, nuts, fruit, cheese, coffee, bagels, pastries, prepared hot food, seafood, local honey, mushrooms, dip mixes, organic juice, and crafts. The market is the number one plant and produce market in Central Florida and it was on Taste of the South Magazine's list of "10 Farmers' Markets in the South to Explore."The part I love most about the market was how a historic building was saved from demolition and repurposed into a building that is bringing prosperity and community to downtown Winter Park. The depot is now used to hold community events. On the day I visited the market it was being used to hold a pancake breakfast in conjunction with the annual Winter Park holiday parade. The market is now held in the Central Park West Meadow. If you are planning a visit, the market is open every Saturday but note that it is closed each year on the third Saturday in March due to the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. The market is very popular and parking can be challenging here so I recommend parking in the downtown garage. There is so much to see at the market and I had so much fun wandering around and taking it all in. Although there is plenty of food here to eat, the market is also only steps away from all of the adorable cafes and shops on Central Avenue. It would be easy to spend an entire afternoon here. Come out and support a local business and happy shopping!
