I'm trying to get my deceased husband's money out of the bank. I told the guy that worked there that it was out my husbands savings. He kept asking for social security number or date of birth and putting me on hold and then he came back and said it was closed., anything else that you need ma'am. I said yes, I need the amount that you are sending me. Oh well he mumbled a small amount and mentioned that he closed it. I asked him what how much was it I wanted to see that it was as much as I'm looking at on the form and he said $151. I said oh no that's wrong he says no it's not I said yes it is and I gave him the account number again and he says oh you will need a court order and some kind of order summary of mediation and something else. I live in a state of Florida isn't it true that if you are married you are the beneficiary after your husband or wife dies and you can get the money out the bank? But no Bank of America is putting me through all of this. I'm afraid now that he is going to take my husband's money out being he has his social and his date of birth because he wanted to wrap this up and hang up pretty quick. I said no I'm not done how much am I getting and he just mumbled but I said I needed the money out of his savings account not his checking. I think something is crooked going on here and I need that money out of his savings account how can I make sure that he did not take the money and close this account up to.?

That I should be at the Tuskawilla branch of BOA is kind of unfortunate when I live 10 miles away. It's all thanks to a Merrill person not always being there at a branch (on vacation that week!) To be fair, they do have an appointment system, which they encourage customers use, and there was no availability at the Winter Springs branch, which is closest to me. But since this business couldn't wait, I had to get back on my horse and ride the extra 7 miles. Thank goodness I WAS able to complete my business dealing even without an appointment, since it was time-sensitive. It was a longer wait than one would reasonably expect, but Alex Maxwell was professional and thorough, even if their back-end system is inconsistent and a bit screwed up. So, extra driving and waiting ... took me two hours to do what should have taken 30 minutes. Oh well - blame myself for doing it 'last minute'. I will plan better next time. I'm unlikely to come to this branch next time I have similar business, but it's certainly possible, depending on what other errands I'd be running. I wouldn't hesitate coming back based on this experience.

Bank of America is always understaffed and extremely slow. They consistently push atm usage and no longer have an active drive thru. Any transaction requires extended time in the bank.

Sports Innovative Services 2020 Coach"s Hall of Shame Bank of America & SLS Partnership *It"s A Two-For* Seniors Beware Your Mortgages & Loans May Be AT Risk Again like in 2008! Recently Bank of American (whom had Lawsuits and Repayments of Mortgage Fraud themselves (payout to the tune of 16.65 Billion to US Gov"t) has sold Mortgages or services of the Mortgage (ie SLS) owned by Seniors to companies known for Foreclosures!!!! BOA partnered with SLS a California based servicing company that deals with loans. And guess what? Yes. SLS also has a Class Action lawsuit regarding various Misrepresentations & Foreclosures. Especially preying on the Elderly'!!! I attempted to get a reasonable answer by Current BOA President but No Response was given! Nice job Bank of America!!! Seniors who had long term relationships with their Primary Banker (BOA) to be swept aside not as individual homeowners but given to those it deals with like SLS suddenly and mysteriously end up in Foreclosure or Debt Collection! Do you think your actions Bank of America & SLS have any effect on the Big Picture as well? How about the families & children of those Seniors? What responsibilities have your actions bestowed upon them? Preying on the Elderly For Financial Gain is Wrong!! Coach Mitch
