Complete incompetence in the pharmacy. They regularly pull old prescriptions I don't use any more and enter them for refill. They have tried to fill $5,000 worth of unauthorized prescriptions of mine in the last month alone. I have to check my pickup every time. Hopefully my insurance is not paying these. The Florida Board of Pharmacy should be aware of this.

AVOID THIS PHARMACY.
My doctor called in a prescription for me that must be taken for 5 days in a row at the same exact time everyday. This was called in yesterday , 4/30/2024. I received a text that there was some sort of unknown delay to the order being filled. My husband called and they said they didn’t have the script on site to fill. Later in the conversation he was told they had enough for 2 days worth and the remaining 3 days would be filled and ready for pick up “tomorrow”, 5/1/2024. The pharmacy closes at 9 pm, and I waited until 8:30 for someone to reach out to me; no one did so I called them. When I called, a person by the name of Gigi answered the phone. I explained to her the situation and she stated they still didn’t have the medication and they would have it tomorrow. I explained to her why I did not find comfort in that because it was the same thing we were told yesterday. She informed me there was nothing she could do about it and asked me what I expected her to do. I told her that I needed her to look in the system for a near by pharmacy that does have it because not getting in time to take tomorrow (5/2) was not an option. She states (while sighing) that she would have to call around and find out. When I was trying to explain to her why that was what I needed to be done, she over talked me while I was talking - to the point where I let HER finish and then asked if there was a reason she was over talking the customer and not allowing me to talk. She then cut me off and stated she was transferring me to the manager. I was on hold for 10 minutes before taking my husbands phone and calling from a different line. I then reached someone by the name of Payal (sp) who allowed me to talk and advised me she and the pharmacist, Carol, were the only ones working. Neither of which were managers (so Gigi lied and provided ZERO help). Later in the conversation with Payal it was discovered that Gigi was IN TRAINING and this was how she was speaking to a customer. Additionally, it was discovered that the script WAS in fact in stock (so either she lied again, or she truly isn’t getting anything out of her “training”). Payal needed to call my insurance to work it out and call me back. When she called me back, she said the insurance would only cover the cost if I picked it up when they opened tomorrow (5/2) at 9 AM, and asked if that was acceptable? I said sure if they could guarantee that I would be able to pick it up with no issues at 9 am tomorrow. She proceeds to tell me “well, not right at 9 AM, why can’t you give us 15 minutes to fill the script?” So I asked her why do they all have to be so condescending to customers. She had the audacity to then tell me that I was the condescending one, and that I needed to be the one being helpful to THEM. she then hung up the phone. So now I have no idea if I am getting my medication tomorrow or not. This pharmacy is always delayed, always rude, and never willing to be helpful to their customers. They lie, they don’t answer the phone half the time, and they make you feel like the problem all the time. This is not the first issue here, and I can almost promise you it won’t be the last. If I wasn’t required to go here per my insurance I ABSOLUTELY would not. I have filed a complaint with corporate, given all names, and am waiting to hear back from someone.

The store employees are great, as for the pharmacy however... on top of being rude on the phone and fake nice in person, they're horrible at their job. I've been coming here for almost a year with the same prescription at the same time of every month and not once have I gotten my medication on time. I call in advance to make sure it's known that I'll be there for same thing as last month again this month. It's almost always an unnecessarily rude encounter and every single time they still find some reason to make my condition worse by not having the medicine I need. They're either morons or absolutely heartless or both.

This particular Walgreens location is on the corner of Cortez Avenue and State Road 434 in Winter Springs, Florida. All in all, it is a good Walgreens location with a friendly and professional staff. I was here just to grab a few incidentals, and overall, it was a relatively positive experience. It has a nice sized parking lot and the store was clean and brightly lit. Walgreens has a long history thar was established back in 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. It has grown into a huge national chain with locations seemingly anywhere and everywhere. This particular Walgreens location is convenient to the area and is a benefit to the community. Walgreens does have some good deals, as well. Do keep an eye out for it. Walgreens is an overall good choice and I would definitely recommend this particular location.

Uncaring , extremely rude, no compassion for patients. There is a better way to communicate with patients than what this company practices. I will not support this type of establishment.

First impressions are always important! But if you go to this Walgreens after the sun sets, you'll be left in the dark because most if not all of the exterior lights in the parking lot don't come on. It doesn't seem like they are concerned about it either because the lights haven't come on after dark for some time now.

Their website clearly says it has the squishmallow I was looking for is at this location and I can pick it up in 30 min if I order it. So I drove down there and the staff was VERY unfriendly and told me they didn’t have it. They barely glanced around and said no we don’t have it. I explained that it says it’s at this location and the older lady proceeded to give me a HUGE attitude like my question was inconveniencing her entire day. She says yeah the website is not accurate. If you ordered it. Online I would have looked for it and if we didn’t have it then we would have told you when you got here.” EXCUSE ME? There is no way this is how a cooperation runs. Why would they have a website if it wasn’t accurate? Between completely not caring about helping us and blatantly lying and saying that the website is not accurate. I would NEVER return to this location. This location and staff make Walgreens look bad as a company for them hiring such rude staff. Does not make we want to shop at a Walgreens again. 0/10

I use this Walgreens pretty often as my go-to stop for drinks, snacks, milk, etc. Besides the pharmacy, of course. It's always neat and clean, normally very fast service at check out. Brands of ice tea I buy are even cheaper than Winn-Dixie and Publix that I use nearby. It's not a huge selection of many items, but many everyday items are stocked.
