Hidden charges, false charges, and dirty cars. I'd say to avoid this place, but I think they're about the only place around there to get rentals so just be careful with them.We got a rental SUV from here and it smelled like pure marijuana. We reported that and were told just not to worry about it, which did not inspire confidence.When we turned it in they had a fuel charge on it without even checking it first, and they had some other charges on there. I complained and they said they just assumed it needed fuel "because they always do" and tried to explain some of the other charges as accidents. I managed to get most of them removed but some they wouldn't. Mind you, I had just parked it outside, walked in and tried to return it. No one had looked at it yet. It was still out there untouched when I went through security an hour later.This place is shady but they've got the monopoly in the area I guess.

I was called by an agent at the Albany Georgia Airport on Wednesday November 23rd to confirm my reservation on Nov 24th. Thanksgiving day. no one was here. I was stranded for over an hour and a half until my family picked me up. horrible customer service

We rented car from Albany Airport. Was given a dirty car(see photos) and smelled like weed we took pics to prove. Brought car back and was told we would be charged $500 for cleaning because there was dog hair in the car. A Ms Rachitta was extremely rude and even though we had pictures to prove the car was dirty when picked up she was so proud to still charge us the fee for pet hair. I have always rented from Enterprise and Budget. I will Never rent from this company again. Worst customer service and totally unprofessional. We will also be calling corporate.

A family which was displaced (From North Port, Fl) due to Hurricane Ian had to use Avis Car Rental in order to pick up a car to replace the one they lost in the storm. Mary Ociesa was the customer. Her daughter Erin Ociesa had to ride with her 12hr round trip. Erin forgot her wallet and had to turn around drive back 2 hrs to pick it up. When she arrived to get her wallet a lady named Rasheena or Resheeda had handed her her wallet minus the 100$ that was missing out if it. On top of Avis employee stealing money, she saw that they had a dog in the new car they were in (not the rental). The Avis employee then proceeded to accuse this family who has been devastated by the recent hurricane that they must have had the dog (a short haired chihuahua) in the car. Which they did not and proceeded to charge this family a pet hair fee of $250. This woman should be fired. Fema is being notified of this as well. Local news is getting a copy of the recorded phone calls

System was down the day I came to pick up, I don't live here and had to get an uber to a hotel. I came back first thing this morning and they are out of cars. Least to say Tony was not helpful and I've never been left hanging like this with enterprise or hertz. Will never use Avis again.

Albany is the most unprofessional place, probably in the world. How are you going to leave your workplace at 5:15pm when the place closes at 6:00pm? Just nonsense. If you come to Albany from out of town, just be prepared to be inconvenienced at every turn.

We had a large flight from Atlanta that was delayed. The plane landed at 630pm avis closed at 6pm. There were 3 of us on the plane that had reservations for a vehicle, including one disabled Veteran..the airport Police Officer informed us that they are “bad about leaving even if the plane is 5min past their work hours”. Horrible business model.

Horrible customer service, very rude. They give you a dirty car that doors don’t lock and when you return it to get another vehicle they make you wait for 3 hours and still do not give you a replacement vehicle. If I could give this renal car a zero stars I would.

Would not let us have our rental car. Did not let the trucking Co that made our reservation know that there was an additional $250 deposit at the time of pickup and that rhe card the reservation was made with had to be physically present. No reservation by phone with a corporate or otherwise credit card. Impossible to rent a car at this location

If I could give it a zero I would. I booked a car 2 weeks in advance and wanted to see if I could get a bigger car if available. I was told I couldn’t because they were booked. I watched a guy who told me he just booked a car after I was told that they were sold out come right in and get a car. The favoritism here is real I will never do business here again. This place is the worst.

First time renting from avis and I never will again. I rented for 2 day at $170 then I extended 2 more day because they was not done with my car totalling almost 450 now I wanted to extend again 4 days they wanted to charge me 700 dollars on top of what I just paid ? so I just told the rep to extend 1 day instead they charged me $99 for one day this is ridiculous. I will never rent from them again.

Upon arrival customer service representative was not wearing a mask. I also did not have one, but asked if she could provide one. I also asked why she was not required to wear one, but I was? I was completely okay with her request and put on on. But because I requested her to wear a mask like she was asking me to, she called law enforcement over. Long story short she exiled me from the counter and I had to communicate through the officer to return my rental. I am writing this review so that Avis can have the same expectations for everyone. It is not okay for employees to think they are excluded from the rules and enforce them at the same time. Horrible customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would.

My daughter reserved a luxury size vehicle weeks in advance for our vacation and was given a 2 door coupe sports vehicle. Her husband and I and 2 kids could not fit in this vehicle. This ruined travel plans and they were not concerned.

I want to start this by saying I am disappointed in the service that I received at this location. Me and my wife flew in to visit family and decided to rent a vehicle and prepaid for service. Got to the airport and to my surprise, they provide us with a car with unknown stains in the seats and honestly unacceptable. We brought this to the attendants attention and she just said " there is nothing I can do" . Attempted to get Rashida to understand. She called her manager " tony" unknown last name and he proceeded to say that he could assist with a refund when he gets back on Tuesday. Its just a sad thing to see avis being represented this way. We are still awaiting a full refunds. Save yourself the headache as there are no standards here. You would think that because of covid, you would try harder to protect your image. STAY away!!!
