“Tate's Tavern is a solace from the world to me. The owners, Mike and Tim, are both amicable, conversant, and they remember you. The latter is tantamount to me. I don't want to have to repeat my usual each time I enter a place. The environment is calm. Mike and Tim have a simple philosophy: No. Second. Chances. If you enter and become belligerent, don't expect to ever enter again. Do visit. I highly recommend it.

“They have an amazing selection of everything. They are pretty helpful if you're looking for something in particular. They also get a lot of alcohol that you may not see at your regular liquor store. They also sell cigars in the humidor. I've never been inside but they seem to have a pretty good selection from what I can see. I also enjoy the fact that everything is well organized and labeled. It makes it easy to find what you're looking for.”
“I had a 13:00 appt but they receive from 8-5 during the week and 8-11 on weekends. I got there around 8:07 and was out the door and empty before 10 am. Really smooth process, would definitely come back. Staff was very cool as well”

“This is a surprisingly nice place considering it looks like a prison from the outside with all the bars. The staff is extremely friendly with wonderful customer service skills. The prices are higher than liquor stores and gas stations in Albany. However they are out in the county which makes it convenient for those who don't want to drive into town.”

“During the afternoon hours, I was in & out within minutes. When I need a money order, this is the spot to get it for less. Variety of brands sold here, plus tobacco products.”
“From out of town & Had to use the restroom very early 1 morning. The store didn't have one in it, but the man was so nice. He even walked to the laundromat a few doors down to unlock it so I could use it there. He didn't have to do that, but it was so nice of him & my bladder was so glad he did! Lol Thanks sir!
