They were honest to me about what was wrong with my car when Pep Boys lied was going on and charged less. When there was a problem they fixed it for no cost because they just fixed it.

We were quoted at least 900 dollars to change 2 belts. We towed it to chix garage and they fixed it for 448.

They begged me to use cash and said how they just didn't want any business that was using credit card. I did not have cash on me and they were very rude about it. I don't think that's a good way to do business. Plenty of other smog and emissions test centers around.

I work for a family in the area and brought their van in due to what sounded like the brakes grinding. I asked if they could look at the car and give me a quote. They took the keys, test drove the car, gave me a quote then told me there was a $99 diagnostic fee. I totally understand mechanics charge diagnostic fees, however, I was not told up front that there would be a fee and it threw me off guard. When I explained this, the lady said “well I need to pay my guys” which I totally get, but I don’t understand why I wasn’t told about the fee before they looked at the car. I just hoped they would have been kind, apologized and waived the fee. Instead they got defensive and made me feel like it was my fault for not knowing about the fee and insisted I pay. This was my first experience at this mechanic so I can’t speak for their work, but their customer service was far from exceptional.Service: Brakes

These folks are at the top of my list. After being told by 2 Kia dealers that the earliest appointment to look at my daughters car would be May… I called Crabapple Automotive and they couldn’t have been nicer. Told me to drop it off whenever I could. Same day they fixed her headlights, let me know the brakes were down, and that she was scuffing off front tire due to an alignment problem. Fixed it all same day and at very reasonable cost. I appreciate the service… and am done with dealers. These folks have earned all my business.

I originally bought my car from CarMax and got the MaxCare warranty. When I noticed my valve cover leaking I searched for a MaxCare certified repair shop and Crabapple was nearby. Spoke to Melissa and it sounded like they could help, so dropped off my car and we agreed that they would install new spark plugs that I provided at no charge, while doing the valve job since it would be trivial.Called after 1 week, it wasn’t even started yet. Called again after another week, valve cover hadn’t arrived yet. Called again the next week, they said they didn’t have a “static mat” so they had to order one to do the valve cover and spark plugs. I was thinking is that some special part, but no she just means an anti-static mat to stand on when doing the job… I’m thinking okay either they should probably already have that or why are they just realizing this now??Finally picked up the car after it was there nearly 4 weeks. Unfortunately had to pay an extra $200+ in totally unexpected charges (was only supposed to pay the CarMax warranty deductible). Nobody gave me a heads up that was going to happen. For example there was $94 for the engine oil (normally costs half that), and then $169 for gapping the spark plugs (they agreed to install new plugs that I purchased since it would be easy during the valve cover job, but I guess gapping them was too much to ask?).So after I started my car up to go home, was presented with a lovely new “Chassis function restricted, drive moderately” error message that wasn’t there before. Went straight back inside, Grey says it was probably just due to lifting the car, drive it around a bit and it should clear.Reluctantly left the shop and the error message has not gone away after 2 days. Tried clearing the error with BimmerLink, no joy. It came right back.Turns out they left the sensor harness above the driver side shock unplugged. What kind of shop sends a customer home with an error like that, and doesn’t even look things over?Long story short: Do not bring your car here if you care about your time, your car, or your money. Period. My assumption is people of Roswell/Alpharetta who come here have no idea about cars and don’t even realize they’re getting fleeced.
