Hours: The Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA is a very expansive and clean health facility in the heart of Alpharetta. The facility is great, clean, well-maintained, neat, and organized, with modern equipment in excellent condition. It is conveniently backed to the Greenway trail. It offers many fitness classes with diverse options and a variety of levels, including water aerobics and Tai Chi. The facility features a pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi, plus a rockwall and outdoor pool. There is tons of parking available. The environment feels welcoming, motivating, and friendly. The staff and trainers are absolutely fantastic, helpful, friendly, and nice, with some being overly courteous. The teachers and instructors are awesome to learn from and very welcoming. A reservation system helps manage capacity. While generally praised, the steam room has experienced extended downtime, and there have been rare rude encounters over the phone. Membership costs are not cheap, with expectations for a fully functioning facility. Overall, it is a highly recommended place for individuals and families to reach their fitness goals.
